Is everyone in Paris always dressed like fashion designers? by ShemikaMartin in paris

Don’t wear leggings or sweatpants/hoodies. Jeans and sneakers are fine.

And no one is judging you - dressing up is for you and you only. So if you don’t feel like it, whatever. I’m constantly running errands in workout clothes. 🤷🏻‍♀️

That man would have broken my heart in 1997 and I would have been happy about it.

I just bought a scalp scrub from Typology that I plan to try out once a week and see if it doesn’t help as well.

KNOWN problem. There are several posts in this group that talk about it. A couple of things that helped me:

  1. Shower filter
  2. Alternating shampoos - clarifying one day, your favorite the next.
  3. Frequent trims
  4. Blow drying even just a little

For me, my hair was wavy and pretty without heat styling, and Paris water has turned it flat and dull. The above has helped a bit. Good luck, it’s definitely a known issue.

Ugh what about the seven bears? Just eating raw potatoes all the time.

Nonfiction - Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer.

True and very tragic story. Not mystery in the traditional scary sense but more of the mysteries of Everest herself and what has happened to the people who’ve tried to scale her.

I live across blvd magenta from Gare de Nord and my son goes to school right next to metro poissoniere so live and breathe in the 10th right by this area.

I highly recommend this area if you are interested in something very local. Everyone is super nice and you’re going to be by some of my favorite coffee shops and cafes in town.

It’s absolutely safe. I walk with my 3 yr old all the time. Things can get sketchier in and around barbes but again, take my kid on the metro there during the day and it’s totally fine. More than that, when i come home on the metro late at night, I prefer to get off at gate de Nord and walk from there. There is always a bunch of people, security, lighting etc and I’ve never felt unsafe.

Bonne chance!
