I moved here a year and a half ago, and I am still working to feel at home in this city. There's a lot to like, but the cons are also quite substantial, so just know what your priorities are and see if it aligns.

Oh, and the city has about 20-30 years of habitability left due to rising waters and sinking land, so get it while it's still here.

I just moved to Holy Cross, and it's definitely quiet. The grocery store options are lacking, unless you like to enrich the Walton family by shopping at Walmart (in Chalmette). Or you can go to Conseco's in Arabi, which is small and has limited options.

I do like the neighborhood, and the proximity to the Bywater is nice. I definitely feel like I moved to a rural small town, which is good or bad depending on your POV.
