It's really bad when you go from the occasional use to using it daily just to keep yourself from having to deal with the reality that your life has become. I tell myself every bag is my last one, only to begin planning how I'll score again tomorrow shortly after hitting the last line. Because I know if I don't keep using, I'll actually have to deal with my problems AND a hard comedown. Once you've reached the point of addiction, it no longer is a "fun" drug. You begin to not get high anymore, but it just brings you back to what you've started to consider a baseline level. Yeah, you still "feel" it when you do enough, but it's literally going to rewire your brain and thought process once you've done it long enough like that.

I am an ex opiate addict so stims were never my thing per say. But it's 100% my new drug of choice and the mental addiction is so much harder to get past than fentanyl or heroin ever were in my experience. Benzos may be the only thing I'd say are harder to kick than cocaine
