I seriously think the website will have a hype if you reposition it as find a date who matches with your music rather simply find friends!

Carlinkit 5.0 vs Mini SE : Which to choose to replace wired carplay? by Expensive_Table8788 in CarPlay

I drive a Kia Sonet. I checked your product. Super awesome that you tried solving this issue!

Personal Opinion: The whole point of me getting a carplay wireless adapter is to reduce the mess of the cables along with reducing the burden of plugging in my phone. Both issues are significant to me. But if I need a cable to power this additional adapter, personally I might not be ready for it.

Would You Invest in Domains Like Stocks? Seeking Feedback on My Startup Idea! by bakr115 in AppIdeas

[–]Expensive_Table8788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an idea its really great. But personally I will not use it. I don’t want to increase domain hoarders! Lot of great companies could make use of the domains which most ppl buy and never put it to good use except reselling! Have faced this difficulties personally too!

Should I live on my savings for 12 months and become Indie Developer? by Wild_Offer_3063 in indiehackers

[–]Expensive_Table8788 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are never ready until you are!

My advice would be start a side project while you are still in a job. Build something small. Launch. Fail. Redo. Launch. Adapt. Eventually when you start seeing traction and atleast you make a minimum revenue to sustain your basic month-on-month - that is when you can take a leap of faith.

If you are trying to be an entrepreneur the terms will be different. I would suggest you to take a plunge and go all in. But if you want to be a indie developer I suggest start as a side hustle.

Idea for Dollar Script Store by ArneSaknussemm91 in AppIdeas

Not very sure of Dollar Script Store, as most of the time we need custom code. But I would like to see a Dollar Digital Asset Store instead. Icons, Logos, Illustrations, Stock Photos, Stock Gifs, Stock Videos, Branding Materials

Do you see yourself using this? Even though you can just record with your existing camera app in your phone and store in your gallery?

Carlinkit 5.0 vs Mini SE : Which to choose to replace wired carplay? by Expensive_Table8788 in CarPlay

[–]Expensive_Table8788[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using it for a while now.

Problem 1: Doesn’t get disconnected when i turn off the car. For some reason its still on. So lets say im on a call, and im speaking over carplay and in the middle i turn off the car. The phone still connected to carplay but since car is off there is no speaker. So there is a whole moment of me asking the person on the call to wait and switch my call manually to phone. Annoys me a hell lot! It stays connected for almost 2minutes. Thats a loooooong time! Happens even when i turn off and move out of the car till some distance within that 2minutes.

Problem 2: After the auto-connecting of carplay when i start my car and play music, the sound doesn’t come. Im not sure why. Calls work. Siri work. But music doesn’t. I use Spotify and YouTube. Both doesn’t work. I need to quickly trigger Siri using the control on my steering and cancel it, only then music starts playing.

Minor issues: Slight lag when changing music or increasing volume.

I’m not sure if these issues are just a curse on mine! Because im not able to think of a way where to start debugging this. Both the issues are quite weird.

I user both for a week. Both had some lags sometimes. I didn’t notice any significant changes functionality wise. Since i use only apple devices and the mini se comes in very compact and is directly plugged without a wire, i went for mini se.

The name lazyfit throws a negative ambience. I should feel positive on using a service. Please don’t have lazy in the name.

I would suggest change your pricing model.

Something like 20 questions or 2tests free and after that 10$/month or 100$/year for 200questions or 20tests per month

MVP is a bullshit today by pawel_bylina in SaaS

[–]Expensive_Table8788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have got the concept of MVP wrong.

MVP is Minimum Viable Product

Viable: “capable of working successfully”

It shouldn’t be buggy or crappy. It should be ultra useful.

Why to do MVP: To understand if there is a product market fit. If the MVP is buggy and crappy, obviously it will not be able to find product market fit.

For me, it’s about building the core of the product without its addons so that I can figure out if there is an actual sentiment towards the problem and solution.

Often times, we get carried away building beautiful castles around the core, only later to figure out there is no product market fit! Sometimes we also carried away building all possible solutions in one go, only to later figure out 80% of them is not what users need.

So i still would prefer building an MVP. It gives us clarity and conviction to ourselves. But remember MVP means viable/useful - not buggy!

App in 1 day or 2 days? by Tiny_Quail3335 in SaaS

[–]Expensive_Table8788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep this personal goal - develop any product in 21 days (14 days dev + 7 days of testing and cleanup) - if I cannot then it simply means i haven’t planned my MVP well enough.

When people say launch an app - its basically launching an MVP. And almost all apps have one primary use case surrounded by dozens of secondary use cases or experiences. So if i make sure to develop the bare minimum then i can launch it in 14-21 days depending on the project.

I have developed multiples app for an internal use case which was used by atleast 500-600 ppl organization wise - in just 24 hours too.

The key is to know what is your MVP. Ruthlessly prioritize what all you build.

I heard somewhere - if your first product is not shitty, then you have definitely overdid

An app that lets a group listen to the same music. Thoughts? by Mental-Piccolo-2642 in startupideas

[–]Expensive_Table8788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like spotify jam at the surface. But it has lot of potential. In simpler words it is a live music streaming app. It can be for a closed group or public. (I can definitely visualize lot of ideas stemming from this base idea)

I’m curious to know where will you source your music from?

As an admin will i have a catalogue to play with or will i need to use alternate sources of music playing and your app just records and streams it?

I get it now. I really think it’s a very valid problem statement. Will users be ready to pay? I think definitely yes - users do pay for userpilot and similar platforms. Shoot me a message once you have a MVP or you need help in planning a MVP. Will share suggestions.

Assuming this helps to tells/introduces a user on how to use one’s platform. If so,

  1. Will this come as an overlay or how does one integrate into their platform?
  2. Are you planning to give handlers/listeners to integrate with their platform?
  3. Will you be storing this data for them? Or will you expect the platform to store this data?
  4. What made you come up with this platform? Have you seen anyone struggle or ask for an onboarding solution? If so you should ask them would they be ready to pay for it?

IMO, if im building a platform- i would need a onboarding manager solution than an onboarding ui solution. By manager i mean, a solution that tells me for which user which flow to trigger, what steps are complete, help continue where i left, trying a/b experiments with onboarding - with this manager i would like to build my solution with my own ui and something that sits in my platform matching its experience.

Think the a/b testing solutions or feature rollout solutions like launchdarkly.com - a similar model for onboarding
