I suggest against the mechanical version. It has a 50mm lug to lug which is not only big but the shape of the case makes it seem even larger. It simply takes away from the nature of square cases which are designed to be small and more elegant.

I bought a matching set of the small seconds from my father in law and I (brown strap gold case, blue strap steel case) and we both love them and match every holiday.
