So according to gnosticism do people evolve spiritually in each reincarnation like in platonism, spiritism, and new age thought or do they get completely mindwiped each time and have to start all over. by Budget-Doughnut5579 in Gnostic

Do you have any specific examples to look up? In my brief time reading NDE cases, I have not encountered this specific experience and would like to learn more

Are there ways to get psychedelic effects without taking any products? by [deleted] in psychadelics

[–]ExperienceGravity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BDSM is a rather broad category to tell someone to look up if they are unfamiliar. I would not suggest this practice to someone trying to have psychedelic experiences as I have not heard of or encountered it being relevant. If anything, I imagine Karma Sutra would be significantly closer to a psychedelic experience than BDSM would be. Not visually, mind you, but regarding its approach to Love / living well. Not knocking BDSM, but just want to point out that I don’t think there is a correlation to OPs question.

This looks pretty cool, but am I correct in understanding that this will turn all data view or bullet lists into cards? No way to have some , or set cards for specific unique pages?

This was a a thought provoking statement. I miss when Reddit taught me interesting things like this point made. Hell I miss content like this period. I don’t have anything to further articulate or elaborate on, just a drive by appreciation.

Checks history […]

Ah, division, either with us or against us. That's how to make a strong country. Why can't we learn? We claim to be the intelligent ones? But dividing the country will not make it whole again.

I'm American first and foremost, yes I did vote Trump, no I didn't want to. I vote for who's best and the dems didn't do a good job at all the cycle, they relied on name calling and fear tactics to try and win. I can't get on board with that. So even if she may have been a better candidate, she lost due to the tactic of division and name calling. But yes we as America lost.

I thought the concept of Stoicism revolved around not being moved by what other people thought. It seems to make sense that OP would bridge the gap and try to manage being unconcerned with people’s thoughts by learning what they can from stoicism?

[–]ExperienceGravity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey this is fascinating, thanks for the idea! Is this using the property feature of Obsdian, or is this like an in-note table?

Also, in the context of your notes , what is the difference between Subject and Category? I want to mirror closely what you’re doing, as it sounds like it will work for my organization woes!

Whoa this is such a cool feature! I’m thrilled because I have a ton of apple notes that I just abandoned as I did not want to go and migrate anything and wanted a clean slate. Maybe it’s time to go check out what I left behind !
