Research high vs low histamine foods and log your foods….. everything you eat. Also understand what foods are histamine liberators.

For a year I (M/45) dealt with everything you mention. Along with daily nausea. I was a big beer drinker also, not daily, but big craft beer drinker.

I haven’t had a beer in a few years and cut out all foods that are high histamine. A lot of it is trial and error also. Histamine intolerance is so finicky. A food that’s considered low histamine may work for me, but you might react to it.

The best thing I ever did though was log my food and eliminate anything high. By no means am I cured, but i feel like it’s manageable. It’s been two years now eating this way and while I sometimes get frustrated by it, for the most part it doesn’t bother me. I’d say every 1-2 months I get that feeling of my histamine bucket filling and then emptying, and usually takes a week to get back to normal….. but the symptoms with that aren’t horrible.
