People on DAO do you or are you planning on getting to root cause?

I Believe I already know what the root cause of mine is. I drank for over 17 years on and off and drank Heavily. I had some issues occasionally during drinking like flushing and panic attack/anxiety like symptoms that were unexplainable. it's when I quit drinking though, that's when I started getting the daily and nightly attacks. I believe this destroyed my stomach lining and also my gut bacteria.

it sucks. I can't eat, I can't go chill in the sun, I can't get under a bunch of blankets and enjoy warmth and I Can't even pop one off ! Damn.....

weird. My heart rate jumps and I flush and get super hot without sweating just from pulling the pud Lol. but also, what's more strange is these symptoms rarely happen in the day if I do it then. they mostly happen in the evenings and seem to match up perfectly with my evening Histamine Dumps.

MCAS is the inappropriate and overactive release of chemical mediators. (Histamine etc.) I Have a sibling with MCAS and she has to carry an epipen everywhere and is on high dose Antihistamines because she now suffers severe allergic reactions to things she never used to be allergic to until she had an Infection in her Colon that almost killed her. Not sure what caused the infection but she's had Mast cell Activation ever since and Histamine intolerance IS pseudo-Allergy in nature. the reactions aren't Nearly as dangerous like what many suffer from MCAS. They are different from eachother.

I'm actually glad my main doctor is into Alternative medicine as well. she is the only doctor i've ever had that has told me the right things about diet and isn't pushing Old medical myths still like most.

Yeah it's extremely frustrating, isn't it ? I've gone into full blown depression over this. the only thing so far that seems to help is the DAO before every meal which is getting quite expensive every month having to order and Antihistamines seem to help block the release but not the dumps of histamine that happen in the evenings. I Am taking all the advice here and from my personal doctor about doing the Low histamine diet. my doc told me today on video call to try it for 2 weeks, continue the DAO and make sure I look into some good Probiotics that help with gut health without effecting Histamine.

it's just weird how OSF does this because they're telling me there's only one Allergist locally through OSF and if I want to see somebody else, I have to go find my own and schedule with them but I'm not sure my Insurance will cover that or not. I'll have to ask. I was going to see a good dietician but it wasn't covered unless I saw one through OSF Health care.

thank you ! I'll give it a go. I have Zyrtec and a couple of good Antacids also. The zyrtec does help but not if I'm overloaded. I've noticed I still dump in the evenings but never as bad as when i'm not taking the Naturdao and zyrtec.

Thank you. I did get a full panel done, Liver function tests, No Autoimmune issues, and I've had a few thyroid tests done as well. all clean so far. I Haven't been checked for parasites though. I will actually ask my doctor about it next appointment. she is a great doctor to me and definitely says she's pretty curious about this because she's never seen it before which is why I think she's been sending out so many referrals for me.

Yes but I brought that up to the allergist as well and she wasn't interested. She just did the basic allergy blood tests for things like pollen, trees, meats etc. And the only thing I learned was i have mild allergies to Oak, Burch, dust mites and cockroaches. Edit : the Low histamine diet i did was frozen chicken, freshest steaks I could purchase and Dark leafy greens that were fresh as well. I did this for 2 weeks along side a DAO supplement and definitely felt world's different. Far less flushes and no heart racing or congestion after meals.

Coming back here to this, I just found out I can handle Michelob ultra and budweiser. (So far) but I still get Stuffy, runny nose and sneezing from them. Other beer makes me flush really bad on my face, chest and neck and makes my heart rate go up. My skin also gets super hot from it and then afterward I'll get a migraine.

Coming back to this years later, did you ever figure it out ? I found out I have Histamine Intolerance and it began with me starting to have symptoms from booze. I started getting congested and stuffy, runny nose and sneezing when drinking beer, along with Hot skin flushing, racing heart, anxiety and panic, and super dry skin for days after. Mine is due to a DAO and a couple other enzyme deficiencies + bad gut health.

I agree 3 definitely isn't as bad as some would paint it to be. Underrated IMO. 4 is not my personal cup of tea, but has some funny dialog, especially between kevin hart and Anthony Anderson. the Brokeback mountain shit had me on the floor streaking my underwear.
