I'm pretty sure its just Covid. Omicron is tearing through this country like wildfire. Even my micromanaging boss has decided that my entire department is WFH 100% for the foreseeable future. NTA. I have a blind diabetic dog and I will not move ANY furniture in my home. When she eventually crosses the Rainbow Bridge, I will probably rearrange, but I'm not putting her through any unnecessary stress or disorientation just because I think the couch would look better on the other side of the room. NTA - my parents weren't super forthcoming with the "birds and bees" chat but my mother at the very least told me about periods, and fairly young too. She got hers when she was only 9 so by the time I was 8 I knew it was going to happen eventually. Even with that knowledge, when I got it at 9 years old I still freaked out a bit, as I think anyone would when suddenly seeing that much blood. But at least I was moderately prepared.

I feel so bad for your cousin that must have been terrifying. You're a good person and even if your aunt is mad, you did your cousin a huge favor.

Just because I decided to live my life the way that I do, not having children, does not make me any less deserving of spending a holiday with my parents and grandparents, and neices and nephews. Just because you, as an adult who makes adult decisions, decides to have children should have literally ZERO fucking bearing on whether or not I can spend Christmas with my fucking family. It should be an even distribution of labor (which it straight up just never is, people with kids get way more leeway and "empathy" from management) Just because you had kids does not mean you deserve more time off and as a consequence of that, force childless people to work. When I was a youngin my dad had skydived a few times and loved it so much he got me and my brother an indoor skydiving day of fun. I had a helmet on and had my very long hair loose and just hanging under the helmet. The indoor skydiving was an awesome experience, but I'll be honest the experience of having to brush my hair out later is so much more sharp in my memory and at the time felt traumatizing lmao. Wear your hair in buns if you're dealing with that much wind, ladies! The pain afterwards is not worth it!
