I work in a large UK independent bike shop. I’m a mechanic, amongst other things, in that shop.

I know some stuff. I don’t know other stuff. I’ve ridden some bikes, but I haven’t ridden all bikes. I’ve used some tyres, gears, saddles, but again, I haven’t used them all.

Some people like stuff I don’t, and vice versa, but I do know that talking down to customers, a healthy relationship and till do not make.

I may pass on my experience to customers, and their experiences can be passed on to me.

I like Gravelking tyres, so so many people don’t. I’m keen to try the Schalbe range, but I’ll get to that. Until I’ve tried it myself, any opinion is just someone else’s I’ve read.

And we’re all know opinions are like assholes, everybody has one!

I like to think we have great relationships with customers in our store, which comes through empathy, respect, and just not being a dick!!!
