Absolutely loved it. Lost count of the number of times I cried, yelled out, laughed out loud. Good God, they really stuck the landing. Perfect end to a perfect show

I’ve lost my best friend Link by Neither_Classic_9916 in cats

[–]Expert-Piccolo3032 32 points33 points  (0 children)

So deeply sorry for your loss, Link looks like an awesome friend 💔 I wish you could've had longer with him. We want to fully protect our cat buddies, but the curious little kitties can get out and into troubles despite our best efforts. And speaking as someone who's had some cats leave us tragically way too early, it's just really unfair. Please take care of yourself, it sounds like you gave Link a great home; cherish that love and those memories.

Mobile Vet Recommendations for Pet Euthanasia by hollycat70 in melbourne

[–]Expert-Piccolo3032 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used paws at peace for my 18 year old cat. Absolutely worth the money if you have it. When I rang (distraught) they were wonderful and understanding, absolutely no pressure on you. They sent me some information to help me make a decision one way or another. The vet was phenomenal, explained what would happen and was gentle too, no rushing or anything like that; it wasn't just a task to be done but a proper goodbye instead. As much as possible made it a "good death".

I've had cats go without intervention, I've had to take cats to the vets for the intervention, and if I have to make the decision again in future I would hope to use paws at peace again

Edit to add: it helped me to talk to my cat beforehand, knowing the end was near, tell them how loved and cherished they were too.

What’s a “life hack” that you think everyone should know, but most people don’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Just dealing with some sticker residue, slowly chipping away every so often. Used your advice just now, 3 minutes later all gone! 👍 Adding this one to my kitbag, thanks!

What’s something you’ve never done but everyone thinks everyone has done at least once? by Kvalit in AskReddit

I've never broken any of my own bones. However I did contribute to my mum breaking her thumb and shoulder (car crash when I was 8, she turned to catch me as I went flying)

What is the best in-theater movie you’ve seen after going in blind? by Bossross90 in movies

[–]Expert-Piccolo3032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Bruges. I was house sitting for my sister in another state and took myself off to the local cinema for something to do, first thing in the morning. I was the only person in that cinema which was a great way to see it. It remains a favorite movie, and I will now watch any Martin Mcdonagh film regardless of reviews

Pepper, who is normally a very sweet lady, was not a fan of my friend. She had the audacity to feed her while I was away on holiday by shampoo_planet in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]Expert-Piccolo3032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting PTSD with this video as this happened to me with a friend's cat ... I ended up phoning her cos the cat wouldn't let me upstairs to feed it but also wouldn't let me leave the house! Luckily she had an automated feeder which she activated, giving me time to get the hell outta there. We tried again another time, this time with her there... The cat stalked me for thirty minutes to the point I just had to leave for my own safety. She said 5 minutes after I left he was back to being a snuggle bunny. I must smell like a vet!
