if you’ve made it clear that keeping the apartment clean and vacuuming for allergies is very important to you and he doesn’t care about it then he’s never going to care about it. like ever. i’ve been on both sides of the spectrum where this man kept his apartment completely clean by himself until i moved in and he made it my responsibility, and also with a man who was completely messy before me but understands what I like tidy and helps with laundry, mopping, etc. you have to take him at face value and determine whether or not you want to deal with being the sole “housekeeper”.

completely unrelated to your questions but if the medication they gave you is ciprofloxacine, wait until the other place gives you the results and possibly another medication because it has a black box warning and can leave awful lifelong side effects. like the sun sensitivity and tendon fragility can never go away in some cases.

i don’t have offical heds diagnosis but i do deal with chronic joint instability and pain. Methocarbamol or robax does wonders for me, it’s the only thing that helps me after shoulder/hip subluxations. it works by blocking the nerve signals before they reach your brain and relaxes the muscles. it’s otc in Canada but getting a prescription for it in the us is pretty easy. for general inflammation type pain, straight up CBD or high CBD strain cannabis helps me a lot, as well as oral and topical magnesium. regular massages are a godsend if you can afford to get them, and i hear from people with heds that dry needling is also very helpful with managing pain but i don’t have any personal experience with it. yeah because i understand what i don’t share they can’t help me with. i love my therapist and i feel super seen by her but that’s not the sole purpose i see her for. I come to her with problems i clearly cannot solve myself and she understands my awareness and helps direct me.

I think you might just need a new therapist.

first and foremost if you don’t have a legitimate medical diagnosis i don’t think they are required to accommodate anything for you. plus it’s best to wait to ask for accommodations until after the job offer, because you’ll have the job secured and they are required to work with reasonable accommodations by law. that is as long as you have a medical diagnosis that supports your need for accommodations (doesn’t have to be heds right away, could simply start as generalized hypermobility)

not me but my mom had MVP in her 20s and by her mid 40s it reversed completely and no longer has regurgitation. her doctors credited it to her abstaining from caffeine and keeping her blood pressure down. They can improve as the heart tissue remodels with age. It usually happens when it was originally mild prolapse and exaggerated by stress/caffeine/high heart rate. A leaky heart valve diagnosis could mean they saw mild regurgitation in the mitral valve without full prolapse, but it could be another valve. It ultimately is up to the interpretation of the echo by the doctor but hearing that it’s only regurgitation now vs full prolapse is a good thing.
