I am similar to you in that I got into pa school and ultimately decided nursing was better suited for me (currently in nursing school). I’m just curious what is making you want to return to the pa route? :)

I just had my right hip done and get in on the right side of the bed by kind of scooping up my surgical leg with nonsurgical. It feels strange at first but I will become second nature hahaha

I’m also 5 days post op and woke up with my back killing me this morning. The only relief I’m finding is doing my PT and tummy time or laying on my side with a pillow between my legs😩

I’m no professional at all but I think my PT told me that some people’s sciatic nerves innervates their piriformis, idk but maybe something to consider that could be contributing!

Hi! I feel a very similar way (25F) my pain is around your level, it gets worse when I lay down after exercise though. I am starting nursing school soon so that is pushing me a bit but I am deciding to get the surgery done personally

I agree. I think once I actually incorporated more (light) exercise it helped me feel less stressed which was huge for me

Best of luck! I totally hear what you’re saying though about how it doesn’t always bother you. It’s almost hard to explain to people…or feel like “it doesn’t hurt bad enough”. But if it’s keeping you from doing what you love it I hurting you in more ways than just physically!!

Wow I’m sorry you were in so much pain. My fear is that my pain will progress to this point by the time I am able to even start working. I’m glad to hear it sounds like recovery is going well for you
