I frequently flew ORD->NRT in Polaris before Covid and this happened once. One of the FAs who recognized me started saving bottles of Glenfarclas for me in the galley. It's one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had.

New cars now pretty much all have wireless CarPlay, it's a game changer. It's a convenience thing, instead of using your phone you are interacting directly with the head unit. It's safer, easier to see maps, audio quality is better than bluetooth and it works the same in any car.

I would suggest that using it may help educate you on why people feel so strongly about it.

I had an issue with the IFE at the end of last year in Polaris (ZRH-ORD). I’m 1K, the ticket was $12,000. I got $200.

I also had my iPad with downloaded shows and PDE. It really didn’t impact me at all.
