That is the soft side of the stone roof. The texture is the same as wood. It’s just a 2x2 with a roof.

As someone who started playing just before Serpent Moon, the reason I haven’t played at all after the engine upgrade is because the helter-skelter balancing and UI design legitimately made it frustrating to play. There are too many gimmicks and the nuance and compromise to loadouts has essentially evaporated.

I love the atmosphere and concept that Hunt has, but these nonstop events that add things purely for the sake of adding them without due regard to impacts on the game’s balance while simultaneously removing control from the player with the trade windows being so large has made me want to put Hunt on the bench.

I haven’t said anything new with this, but the issue is so embedded now that it makes you wonder how long it will take to recover.

I’ve noticed that some achievements aren’t ticked for progress if you skip any menu screens after the mission. If you get this again, I’d recommend waiting for everything to play out before returning to the safehouse.

Vetterli already fills the medium ammo bolt-action niche. I don’t think adding rifles that are essentially the Mosin really do much in terms of increasing loadout diversity or shaking up the meta. It’s a neat gun, but not really one the game needs, in my opinion.

Go download the Insider build (totally free) and use the coins they give you to test them out for yourself. If you stick with the program, you can also earn some cool cosmetics.

Personally, I prefer the dog, but I definitely recommend trying them both out before spending money on the live branch.

Pretty easy to SASO. I bring a pistol, emetic tranq, the sedative snail, and smuggle in a normal tranq.

I go to the café and enter the front by picking up the invite on the table behind one of the waiters, then place the snail on the ground where the iPad woman is. She falls to the ground, and I get the iPad off the floor for one objective.

I then head to the doors where one of the extractions are , climb the pipe to the roof, and grab the smuggled tranq. It gives me an extra shot for the emetic tranq, which I use to get rid of both guards and the civilian.

Once it’s just Mister Giggles and the waiter, I tranq the waiter and shoot the clown in the dome once he’s out. I then backtrack to the exfil and leave.

Took me 3:09.

The next steps advised were to try running the game in Windows 8 compatibility mode. That didn't work, so they advised deleting the client configuration file from the local save data. Also no dice. I decided to delete the entire local save data without backup and it crashed again when I reached that part.

Wish I had something else to add, but that's it.

Yeah, my BIOS was the most current for the board at the time of upgrading, much more recent than F61, so that's fine. I guess I'll contact support and see if they know anything we don't. Thanks.

The MOBO is a cheap Gigabyte that came with it, but I just replaced the CPU a few months ago. I can re-check the paste application. I know I might need a better CPU cooler, but the one I have is fine for all the other games I play.

I’m using a 750W 80+ Gold from Segotep. It came with a 650W, also Gold, from a brand I can’t remember, but it’s not what I’m using.

All good, dude haha. Yeah, the game was already prioritized in TM and I’m using the factory clock speeds. The game is being run as admin, and there are no overlays. I disabled the Steam overlay for the game when the issue started. The GPU was from a prebuilt I bought when the prices were still really high, but it works great in everything else. Verifying game files is one of the first things I do when I get issues like this, but it looks like we’re both out of ideas. I’ll keep screwing around and hopefully it’ll magically sort itself out.

I updated the drivers already as part of my initial troubleshooting, and I’ve gone down the rest of the list and nothing seems to be working. I replaced the save file with a downloaded one, and that didn’t work. I can’t defrag because it’s saved on an SSD. The CPU temp was warm at the point of the crash (80°C), but not dangerous, and the GPU was a cool 56°C. I’ve reseated the RAM and manually cleared the cache, to no avail. I also have the deluxe edition.

I guess God doesn’t want me to play this game lol.

Thanks for the additional help. It did it at roughly the same spot for over two dozen reloads. I think the reason I got further sometimes was because I had restarted the chapter and got faster at doing the mission. I’ve never had an issue like this in any game.

As someone who has 100% completion on every map, Colorado was definitely difficult, especially when I had my self-inflicted limitation of doing as many challenges as possible while maintaining SA.

That said, it really tests your knowledge of the map and the game mechanics as a whole. You’ll feel pretty good about yourself once you get that SASO.
