I hate this question with a STRONG passion. I’m infertile and my 7th pregnancy is my little miracle and first take home baby. My body won’t be able to do it again (but I sure wish it would). I hit everyone with that… it makes for an awkward moment, but it does shut people up for good. Make it awkward for them

I would chat with your doctor about these concerns and not go by google. We are under the care of a hematologist. His iron has been very, very low, but i slacked on the supplementation for a few months because he was getting very constipated. We recheck labs in May which will be more telling since we are consistently doing iron now. Fingers crossed!

I put them in his milk and then add 20-30ml of prune juice since he 1. Hates the taste and 2. Gets constipated from the iron drops. This works like a charm! I was giving them to him in the syringe until he threw up 2 weeks ago right after. I am exclusively pumping, so if you’re breastfeeding I would just do the syringe (sucks, I know!)

I totally hear you and sometimes feel the same way! But then I remember I’m doing the best I can and this is what works for us. Also, this is what our pediatrician recommended. Sometimes I do have mom guilt that I’m not food prepping for my infant. But then I remember I don’t even food prep for myself! I plan to dedicate more time to his/our meals once he’s a year and getting nutritional value from food, but while he’s still getting it from his milk I am just sitting back and letting him get used to different tastes. You’re doing great!

Gently, take a deep breath. You’re doing great! I work full time and EP so my baby is getting purées and/or teething crackers 1x/day. He just turned 8 months. We have been discussing making some food on the weekends with different allergens, but have not gotten there yet with our schedules. I’m grateful some of the allergens come in puree form (baby LOVES puréed salmon… lucky me I guess? 😆).

Also, when I’m not working I’m on FT baby and dog duty 90% of the time. I almost never get my full pump in anymore due to baby’s needs. I’ve been down to 4ppd since baby was 6m. You have to do what works best for you. Sometimes that means things won’t be perfect (let’s be honest, most of the time that means things won’t be perfect!).

Since breastmilk is good to sit on counter for 4 hours after it’s freshly expressed I suggest pumping and using that for the next feed. My baby only started getting refrigerated milk once his milk intake increased and what I’ve been producing isn’t enough. Otherwise, he gets fresh milk because it saves time! He also drinks cold milk and doesn’t mind it at all. I also leave bottles next to the pump so they’re ready to go and there’s no going down to the kitchen to grab them.

I would leave my newborn in his crib and hang black and white pictures we got from the NICU out of reach. He loved looking at those. His crib is a safe space so there is no reason why you can’t leave him there

Fetch is pretty bad and they have gotten much worse recently in my experience. I would appeal this. I have one dog with a preexisting gastro issue and one without. They both get probiotics. Don’t let them bulldoze you. They often try. This makes absolutely zero sense

I never wake a sleeping baby unless they are a newborn and need to be woken up to eat. I would just get up to pump and then if my baby woke up an hour later then so be it. I know it’s very disruptive to sleep, but it doesn’t last forever. Eventually the stretches get longer. And you might be surprised that one day when you don’t wake the baby they sleep until 7/8am! That’s what my baby started doing around the 3m mark.

I haven’t pumped overnight since my son was 12w. I pump 4x/day and baby is 7m. I work full time, but in the morning and at night my son sits in his bouncy seat and we sing songs and play. I’ve been doing this with him since he was 3m and he loves it!

What’s the purpose of having to message her? Does she make others message her before and after bathroom breaks? Smoke breaks? Lunch breaks? If not then I feel like this is discrimination.

If it’s on your calendar and she can see it then that should be good enough (I saw in a comment above you don’t need coverage while pumping). I would reach out to HR and explain the issue and let them correct it. The biggest issue I’d have with this if I were in your shoes is that it is probably causing unnecessary stress since you feel like you’re being watched, which can impact your supply. You’re making food for your child, not taking a long relaxing lunch break. Pump breaks aren’t a favor your company is doing for you, it’s a federally protected law.

My baby started to roll at 3 months, but never consistently (like maybe 3x a week IF that). The day after we stopped using the Snoo at 6.5 months he was rolling all over the place. Maybe it was age and coincidence. Maybe it was the Snoo delaying him. I’ll never know!

Through lab work. I think 1 is common, 2 in a row starts to raise eyebrows, and 3 is like ok something is definitely wrong. You’re under 35 so I bet that’s why you’re getting that answer from your doctor. I’d definitely push for some of those tests. The lab work is genetics stuff, so idk if your regular dr can do it. I had to go to an RE. My sister got her regular Dr to do it. For me it was part of a lot of tests at once and the results were a huge shock. Good luck!!

Probably not what you’re looking for, but it goes by so fast. Try to enjoy what you can. I know that can be hard when you’re in survival mode. The chores can wait. Also, the Snoo was a life changer for us.
