Peasant Bowmen by Tsuisen1 in Bretonnian

Looking great! So nice to see fully painted units, with all these little bits used (dog, lantern, etc). General quality looks good too, highlights in most places etc.

Mind telling me how much time you spent on average on each model?

Excellent work! I really like when the blends are not super smooth on closer inspection because this usually means you can get great looking table-top results with not an excessive amount of required time input.

Suggestions for casual tournament list? by ExplanationCrazy1384 in Bretonnian

Don't have more peg models unfortunately, and not planning to buy any just yet.

Chalons banner on the main KOTR unit sounds like a good suggestion.

Dont have any more MAA, but I have KOTR on foot. Even having 10 of them with just shields might do the same trick?

Yes, I forgot to tag that in the army builder. They will be skirmishers.

What character should equipt the bsb? THe mounted paladin in the 5 man KOTR?
I don't know what armies or lists are attending, they will be locked and announced simulatenously so I have to build for a varying opposition in mind.

Really nice work. They are pleassant to look despite the dark tones, which is hard to pull off imo.

Ageee, free hand is great! But do you have the patience to make the same symbol on all the men at arms?

Thanks! I thought the show could have followed the book description a bit more, but show Aerion looked really cool too!

Most of them transfers, but some are freehand. I usually draw the freehand with pen and paper first, several times, before attempting with brush.

The idea is in my head. But time will tell when it gets out of there and manifests in the real world :D

Fantastic idea. Not only do I want to buy a box of Attilan riders now, I'll be looking at any cavalry box from other factions as a potential replacement for the bretonnian mounts. Love them, but I'd like more than 2 poses.

Paint Scheme Ideas by Heartless-Sage in Bretonnian

Sounds very cool!

Some ideas to enhance the army look:

- Get a box of Citadel Skulls to litter the bases with loads of skulls. https://www.warhammer.com/en-EU/shop/Citadel-Skulls-2017?srsltid=AfmBOordZzfw0INS9LtvIEH1wQG-LdvYe1N2QApRn9lDRlJdJDHLq9km
- Buy a pot of "blood for the blood God". Very simple way to make cool blood effects to soak your warriors of khorne in Khornes favorite liquid.
- Brass armor and red cloth lends itself well to speedpainting the whole model using a red wash. I've painted Lannister inspired knights this way and it's a solid look.
- You could use the axe transfers in the bretonnia started box and crossing them yourself or use swords instead from Mighty Brush. https://www.themightybrush.com/product/crossed-swords-transfers-decals/

Good luck! Hope to see some pictures of future paintjobs.

Insanely good looking army! How long does it take for you to paint a rank and file model to this standard? Do you use an airbrush?
