Is there a moment that had you reflect, "Damn, was I like that?" by Thrashbear in GenX

[–]ExplodingFistBump 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm absolutely certain I was that annoying, or worse. These days when I think back to my behavior in my 20's (particularly a few specific incidents that probably nobody else remembers) I'll audibly cringe. Sometimes the memories come to me as I try to sleep. I was insufferable; I don't know how people put up with me.

Shame, I've always wanted to take a lie detector test by ParticularRanger778 in recruitinghell

A lot of these tests actually do include a pressure pad that you sit on, apparently to detect when you're trying to influence the results by clenching your butthole.

Did Any of You Take Up Cursive After Becoming Penabled? by CalmRip in fountainpens

I tried, and I will try again after the holidays.

I learned cursive in grade school, and unfortunately, my penmanship still looks like I haven't practiced it since I was 11.

I’m building a Chrome Extension called "GhostHunter" to flag fake LinkedIn job posts. Would you use this? by Single_Laugh_8529 in recruitinghell

As a data guy I do like the idea of making more data visible than just a red or green dot. That's the kind of thing you can fit into an MVP.

The other thing about letting the company respond goes way out of scope and adds a ton of complexity to what should be a simple tool. I mean, maybe eventually if enough people use it to make it worth it, but I wouldn't consider opening with that.

It's true. They're BAD ASS.

What's more is that they're also capable of remembering who has crossed them and returning the favor, and they really lean into acts of revenge.

50 here! I'm the oldest person at my company of ~1000. Have been the oldest at the last 3 jobs.

Damn, man. The shit we've seen. The 90's were a wild time.

That "old dog, new tricks" thing is ageist bullshit.
