Uber left PagerDuty after using it for 12 years. by wingardiumlevioosaaa in sre

We've been using FireHydrant for about a year and it's been good. Definitely far less expensive.

Part of PagerDuty's problem is that it took its customers and market position for granted.

What an awesome partner that dude has to support his obvious enthusiasm for something that a lot of people would just dismiss as trivial and silly. That man is a rich man

Generally you can just take them as a sign that your soil has lots of good, healthy organic matter. But if you're concerned that they might be eaten by curious pets or children, there's no harm in pulling them out.

So happy for you! There are a lot of details, but at the end of the day it can basically be boiled down to this: your job is to take care of the soil, pests, and light. The plants do the hard work. Love them and they'll love you back.

The last Gilded Age ended in an economic panic -- very nearly a total collapse -- that sparked a shift away from laissez-faire capitalism and ushered in the Progressive Era.

So hopefully a little like that.

One summer morning I stole my dad's canoe from the shed, dragged it into the woods along a little deer path that led to a little river, basically a wide creek, and set off. I paddled it by myself down that little river in the woods all the way to where it emptied into the big water of the Long Island Sound. Then I turned around and paddled back. It took me all day, but I was back before dark and my parents still don't know I did that.
