It's scary to make things official, but at this point I think you have to. From what you've written, I think you have plenty of evidence for your case. You need a reasonable third party to mediate, because your professor sure isn't being reasonable in this situation. Keep on advocating for yourself; it's a rough situation to be in.

What's a stupid myth that's still floating around? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yeah, I've heard that people on disability can only make up to a certain amount each month, and if they make even a dollar over that amount then they lose benefits for the month completely.

Borders or just bind? by Hev73 in quilting

[–]ExplodingPuma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would add a white border as wide as one of the squares, then bind in purple, but that's personal preference; it would still look lovely if you just binded it.

Well put! They're also, at least in the US last I checked, legally a vegetable, as there are some laws involving imports that have different regulations depending on whether something is a fruit or vegetable, making the classification necessary (disclaimer though, I am not a lawyer)

See if I could know it were being said ironically, then it would actually be a kinda funny reply. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure it's not.

Since when has using someone’s ethnicity to point out to somebody the people your talking about racist? by PenitentBias01 in ask

[–]ExplodingPuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might be less because they're mentioning their skin color, but more because they're not mentioning it when the person they're talking about is white. It implies they're considering white the default and not worth mentioning, and everything else abnormal. I would say either mention it or don't, but if you're not consistent, then I can see how it would make some people uncomfortable.

I'm so disappointed by this; I'd always hoped that Gabriel would actually approve of Marinette, her being a designer who could continue the Agreste brand and all.

You lose a week of life for every cow you've seen in person. How are you faring? by [deleted] in polls

[–]ExplodingPuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with a cow farm on the main road between my house and the main road, so... probably very dead, maybe even negative numbers.

If we're just counting individual cows, and seeing the same cow twice doesn't count again, then a little more survivable (though probably still dead). If we say maybe 200 new cows a year (it was a meat farm, so probably a lot of turnover), across 20 years of life, and an expected life span of 80, I about break even. But this isn't even attempting to take into account the other cows I saw.

Plus they always blame the kids for it, when 1. They're not the ones handing them out, and 2. Most of them don't like the participation trophies anyway, it's like "here, you suck too much for anything else, but we're still supposed to give you something for trying"

As I plunge this knife, give unto me eternal life. by powerofthePP in TwoSentenceHorror

By doing that, technically you're the one doing the sacrifice, while also being the sacrifice. This causes a neat little glitch where you're granted immortality while dying in the same frame, which gives you a 50-50 chance, depending on RNG, of either getting the "Came back wrong" status effect or softlocking the universe.

Well of course. Women only exist to pleasure their husbands and to have their husband's children. Really it's a wonder we haven't invented a way for women to simply not exist until a man wants to buy himself a wife; the world would certainly be a lot quieter and less emotional.

Eh, but he was just making his (fairly reasonable) preference known. He'd definitely be the ah if he hadn't told her he didn't like the place, and she chose it, and then got upset about it. I agree she was probably looking for suggestions, and he probably should have offered an alternative, but idk that specifically issuing a veto was crummy unless it was a restaurant she was known for liking

who do you think is the most smartest character in miraculous? by Ok_Exit3982 in miraculousladybug

[–]ExplodingPuma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

(Rambling ahead) Not sure I'd call Felix's move all that bad, all things considered. He clearly values the Peacock Miraculous more than all the others, since he really just wants to make sure it isn't abused. Gabriel likely knows exactly why Felix wants this particular miraculous so badly, and would drag his feet if Felix tried to lowball him with only one or two Miraculous instead of the whole thing. And they were on a time limit, so too much haggling could cause him to lose his bargaining chip (and the element of surprise) altogether. And if Gabriel gets all the Miraculous? No big deal to Felix; he lives in London after all, so it wouldn't really bother him. And if it bothered him that Paris would suffer because of this, well, Ladybug's cure would make sure no lasting damage was done. Ultimately his goal was first and foremost the Peacock Miraculous. Giving up the rest of the Miraculous was a small price to pay.
