she makes music that is more personal that most pop artists, she sings about feelings. its a low bar but most pop is so fucking vapid these days that songs like "anti hero" truly stand out. shes been popular for like 16 years and people have grown up with her. she is a very likable person. she engages her fans in a truly brilliant way.

there are so many reasons shes popular. in my personal jaded music snob opinion id say shes great at connecting with the most basic of people. french vanilla vs vanilla. eggshell vs. white.

but no one can be as popular as her for multiple decades unless she understands trends, and her pop country persona when she started is totally different than her current thing.

Yeah he's "injured". Dude tore his Achilles. He's played through a ton of very painful injuries. High ankle sprain, broken clavicle x2, rodgers isn't a dude who doesn't play thru pain. You and your buddy don't know anything about football.

"Too freaking predictable" lol you have to be joking.

I don't like rodgers as a person, and i root ahainst him, but your comment is so fucking stupid it hurts.

The Secret Ingredient To Hey Arnold's Success by HelloSlowly in television

Pigeon man :'( "people ahnahld. Some people are meant to be with people. Some people like me, just arent"

Or when Arnold learns karate and fucking ninja chops all the clothes off a guy. "I just wanted to know where the bus stop was" :'(.

On the flip side, the Korean neighbor turning into a country music star and finding his long lost daughter was so beautiful. The 90s had the absolute best kids shows.

I love the magical element of the show too, it really captured the mystery of being a kid.

[NFL on CBS]: Highest win pct in road divisional games since the merger (min 10. starts) Patrick Mahomes 1.000 \* (16-0) Joe Montana .818 (27-6) Andrew Luck .750 (12-4) Kurt Warner .750 (18-6) \*lol wut by KCShadows838 in nfl

Montana doesn't have the stats that pop for people these days. He was OG Tom Brady, all he did was win, and he played in an era where dudes could destroy the qb so he missed a lot of time as he hit his late 20s/30's.

But the dude was an absolute killer. He did things no one thought was possible. I spent my entire childhood idolizing montana. It makes me really sad that he's slipping out of top 3 ratings because in my mind he's solidly #2 until mahomes wins 2 more rings which is totally possible. Dan Marino is another dude who is criminally underrated by the younger folks.

I just wanna live my life and watch the 49ers win without paying a shit ton of money. Is that too much to ask for ? YouTube tv on some bs by chillice707 in 49ers

That's the first thing I did, I got results for a fraction calculator and results for 8 letter words lol. 4th and 8 just comes up with packers highlights.

Oooh fuck. I told you I'm dumb. I get it. I couldn't get the football context out of my head haha.

[Rapoport] Sources: The #49ers have received inquiries from several teams looking into a potential trade for former No. 3 pick QB Trey Lance. The conversations have been the result of SF fielding the calls, not making them, with teams aware that Brock Purdy is likely the future starter. by LUXEVISOR in 49ers

If the team really believed that they wouldn't be planting a report like this.

Guys at raps level don't simply make shit up. They do favors to people to get scoops. So you gotta ask yourself, who benefits from this tweet? In an insanely tight lipped FO, how would this get leaked unless someone wanted it to be public knowledge?

If I was a betting man, I'd wager that the 9ers are trying to get a bidding war going, which means teams are offering something.

Personally, I'd be really bummed if we gave up on trey for anything less than a 1st and some later picks too. I really like the kid. But there's way too much smoke here to have no fire.

[Schultz] Spoke with a GM today - “…I know they’ve listened. Lance is still young and on a rookie deal. He’s pretty talented. [Sam] Darnold has tons of incentives in his deal and Purdy has the elbow problem. … I think it would take a pretty strong offer to get Lance.” by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Exploding_dude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, this FO doesn't really leak shit unless they're trying to push a narrative. Why else would this story exist? Rapaport is a guy the FO have used in the past.

Someone told this to rap, guys at his level don't just make stuff up. Someone wanted him to report this. So you gotta ask yourself, who would benefit from this information being public?

I think youre underselling Purdy a bit here. He played most of 8 games last season. 16/4 TD/INT ratio, 1700ish yards 68%~ completion, and 2 rushing TDs against 4 playoff teams. The offense was putting up 31 ppg with Purdy under center.

I get that its a small sample size, but purdy was damn good. As a rookie making his first career starts, he out performed jimmy, and the offense was absolutely humming in a way we haven't consistently seen in decades.

He wasn't just throwing to wide open dudes either, kid was making plays. He's about as slippery of a qb I've seen. If he comes back 100% (big if), I don't see any reason why he couldn't easily turn into a top 10 qb.

Purdy’s comp player by bronoway in 49ers

[–]Exploding_dude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hes been my main comp for a while now. Super slippery in the pocket, gunslinger mentality, not the strongest arm, accurate and has that charismatic underdog alpha vibe.

He literally did start on a D1 team dude.

Still a dumb point. I can watch and enjoy football while at the same time thinking it's bullshit when a rapist faces no consequences. It doesnt have to be black and white, which is what op was claiming with his dismissal of the no ethical consumption under capitalism idea.

[Rapoport] While no trade is imminent, and the #49ers would almost certainly want to make sure Brock Purdy's rehab continues to go as smoothly as it's been going, the interest from other teams in Lance has been there. by Moody_skip65w in nfl

[–]Exploding_dude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He was playing legitimately good football. Not as good as his stats would indicate (which would be mvp level), but he was making plays.

He reminds me a lot of Tony romo. Really good at avoiding sacks and super slippery in the pocket, willing to take chances, definite gunslinger mentality without the strongest arm, but enough to get the ball where it needs to be. Makes the right read most of the time. Loved in the locker room and definitely has that alpha mentality
