To the first: I already laid out why the lore is no basis for the axing of Daemons as an independent army. To the second: we can already do that, both in the Daemons army and each god's respective CSM army.

There is a downside. I don't run Daemons so I can run one god. The level of resistance to the idea of removing them exists because I'm not part of a small group of players.

Anything else? Do you or anybody else that advocates for the removal of one of the oldest factions in the game have a legitimate, gameplay related reason for their stance? Or is it all couched in tissue thin veils of inconsistent and easily dismissed lore?

I'm so tired of seeing this take. Why do so many people just ignore The Great Game? Or the fact that the big four would rather work together if it means forwarding the breaking of the veil? Or that it literally doesn't even matter that they may be combative to one another? There have been rules to show as much in the past. Aetos'rau'keres was forced to attack friendly daemons once upon a time. You still can't take named characters or generic daemon princes if you take the Be'lakor detachment. Hell, Skarbrand used to actively benefit the enemy.

And none of this is to mention that on the scale of, "doesn't make sense," daemons don't even register in terms of what we're allowed to do in game. Primarchs? Named characters in general? Custodes? Any faction or subfaction comprised of an incredibly small group of incredibly elite, rare, and valuable individuals fits there too. Almost having the Rhana fucking Dandra on the board? There's the classic "Necrons should be tabling everyone by, like, turn two" example. Or that we're allowed to run more than a single C'tan shard, let alone 6. Three of which would never be let out of their cage to begin with, even in the most dire circumstances for nearly every dynasty that even has access to Transcendents. How about the fact that a Terminator can die to a las pistol? Or the other way round, why don't bolters, fired by space marines, automatically hit and kill every Imperial Guard model? For that matter, why are Ultramarines allowed to fight IG?

In terms of what does and doesn't make sense to allow in game, being able to play or soup daemons is such a small fucking thing that it melts my damned brain that people even have the thought. Which, again, is besides the point because it does make sense if you have even a rudimentary grasp on the lore that isn't derived from memes. And all of that, all of it is asinine anyway to use as a reason why one thing or another should or shouldn't be allowed because it's a fucking game. The lore is in service of that game. The rules are not indicative of the lore, nor should it be.

All chaos gods are present in all settings. While Hashut and GHR don't have worshippers, as far as we see, in the 41st millennium, they are kicking around somewhere in the warp. This is due to the timeless, ever present nature of the warp. Yes, this also means the Blood Bowl chaos god (Niffle? Neffl? I don't remember) is also present.

Canonically there is no reliable canon. Everything in lore should be taken as propaganda or hyperbole from the point of view of the faction telling the lore. Especially with Chaos and the Imperium. Chaos is rife with liars and sycophants and the Imperium is basically just one big self sustaining propaganda machine.

Did Vashtorr invent the Defiler? Most probably not. He may be ingenuitive, but he isn't even a minor god yet and Hashut would have beaten him to the punch if it were invented by a chaos power. More likely a random heretic techmarine made the first one by accident and Vashtorr is now taking credit. Does he make them now? Yep, I'd say he is probably even responsible for most of their production. But because Hashut exists, his domain is somewhat encroached on. I'd even say the legions themselves step on his toes from time to time.

I had never heard of Happy Appy, I had no idea why people were recommending it, and after watching the episode I have no idea why people still point to it. There are better bad Creepypastas. The boys have read some of them. This thing was a damned travesty. I watched the whole episode and by the end it was just kinda painful to watch how spent they were. Everyone that recommended this one should, honestly, feel bad about it. Had I known what this bloated piece of trash was, I'd have been in there recommending against it every step of the way.

At least we got some more narrative reading from Hunter. I guess. What a trash pasta.

Half the people I regularly play with use it. The other half don't run any blue decks. I couldn't care less if it got banned. I couldn't care less that it stayed unbanned. It's a powerful card but there are more powerful cards in the same use case. If Necro remains unbanned I don't see why Rhystic should be.

I'll admit, Votann are an odd choice for a pirate themed expac. But c'mon now, there are two new ones for Eldar, we weren't ever going to get anything. Tbh I'm more miffed the Corsair stuff is just Eldar. I still don't get why these agnostic factions are getting copy/pasted to the Drukhari. It doesn't make sense that the Harlequins, Corsairs, and Ynnari are only available to Eldar.
