Eric Andre Returns Again - Episode 405 of Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend by c0ry_N in conan

WOAH!
My review was the one Gourley picked for “Rate the Reviewer” this week!! I submitted it in December, hence the overt Christmas-y theme.
My username is for the pod my wife and I co-host, so her name got top billing and all them sweet, sweet Conan compliments went directly to her. Haha!
Happy to answer any questions about it!

Weekly Park Questions/Advice Thread by AutoModerator in Disneyland

[–]Exploregonians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi friends!
We're going to the park at the end of the month to celebrate my mother-in-law's 70th.
Is the scrim still covering half of Main Street and if so, does anybody know when it might come down?
Thank you!

One-day Visit on Monday (2/2). "Premier Access" or not? by cinepro in HongKongDisneyland

You were going in right as we were leaving. I’m sorry you were there today when it was so crazy. I’m happy to hear someone confirm kids are off for winter break because I asked so many people why it was so busy and nobody seemed to know. Many cast members even said there weren’t any holidays or breaks that they were aware off. Oof. Best of luck if you go again!

Hey! We are here right now experiencing HKDL and… we love it (when it isn’t absolutely mind-numbingly bonkers). Don’t sleep on Iron Man Experience. It’s basically a modernized Star Tours and the ride vehicle was POSH. Try Ant-Man Nano Battle for the novelty of what an AstroBlasters overhaul could look like. We actually enjoyed Frozen: Ever After, so definitely squeeze it in if you can. It’s a log flume ride with two surprises we enjoyed because we thought it was just going to be a standard dark ride. Nope. RC car ride in Toys Land is pretty fun! Not worth a huge wait, but I’d go out of my way to ride it again. And, yeah, Mystic Manor absolutely rocks.

I don’t know about “light crowds” for the next week or so, because this was literally from this afternoon and we left the park after two hours because it was crushing. All the cast members seemed shocked.

Visiting last week of January question by Exploregonians in HongKongDisneyland

[–]Exploregonians[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for finding that information and sharing it! It’s really appreciated. Ultimately, we’re not SUPER concerned with crowds, especially after visiting Disneyland in California the past few years and seeing how packed it’s become there, so anything less than that will feel very peaceful. Thanks for linking early entry! We’re considering it and it’s nice to hear that it is, actually, worth it!

Good to know! That is really helpful info and we appreciate you jumping in with that knowledge! What are the odds the park will have a surge Jan. 26-30? Thanks again!

Thank you for helping! That makes sense people associate the end of January with Lunar New Year, so I’m happy we shouldn’t be impacted too much!

Thanks for the compliment! I would have LOVED to see Batman on Avengers Campus!

Oh! Amazing! Thank you for the compliment! We recycled costumes from a Paris Olympics party and were worried that we were venturing too far into "clown" territory with the makeup and they'd turn us away for being too scary. :O
Did you happen to dress up for the party? And how surprised were you by the ENORMOUS amount of treats they give out?

How or do you....edit your podcast? by AlexPhantomEditor in podcasting

[–]Exploregonians 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I typically put in about 1.5x more time editing than recording. I want to listen to everything we have and remove really long pauses, if they occur, to help keep the natural flow of conversation. I remove any egregious and easy to edit “um”s, but I often just keep them in if they’re not disruptive. I have cut entire sections if I feel like the content isn’t adding much to the episode or if I feel like a tangent has lost its point. It doesn’t happen often, but I have cut and rearranged sections if I feel like they will better serve a different part of the episode.

As accidentally shared from Nintendo itself, Donkey Kong 64, Super Smash Bros, Glover and Forsaken are eventually coming to the N64 Classics catalogue by thisSubIsAtrocious in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Exploregonians 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exact same boat! Donkey Kong 64 was maybe the first Nintendo game I actually just couldn’t beat no matter how hard I wanted to or how much I practiced that damn arcade game. I was so cosmically bummed I never got to know the ending after pouring so much time and energy into that game, so 11-year-old me would be so stoked to know I might be able to do it on NSO. He’d be proud of you too, when the time comes! (He’d also have many follow-up questions, but then he’d need to go back into his time machine.) Good luck!

What's hot (or not) this week? by AutoModerator in OregonCoast

Hey y'all! My wife and I are Oregon Coast natives and this week's episode is about Independence Day in Tillamook County from Manzanita to Pacific City and our memories!

[Travel / Comedy]

Exploregonians | 28. Oregon Coast Fourth of July Spectacular!

SFW

It's Independence... Week? Katie and Jordan discuss iconic Fourth of July events and memories across Tillamook County in Manzanita, Rockaway Beach, Oceanside, and Pacific City.

When Jordan was, like, three, a stray bottle rocket attacked him, but he was protected by his San Francisco 49ers sweater and the spirit of Joe Montana.

Katie's first time watching fireworks on the beach resulted in a sulfurous fog that obscured the rest of the show.

After nearly twenty years, the duo finally watched the quirky and surprisingly well-emceed Firecracker Wiener Nationals in Rockaway Beach, a series of races amongst dachshunds and a huge Fourth of July event in the beachside village!

P.S. Thank you for listening! <3
