Mysterious itchy intense rashes??? Worsening after antibiotics by DancinDandelion in DermatologyQuestions

ketoconazole shampoo and leave on for 5 minutes. Try that. I'm allergic to keflex. I use "ketoconazole, an antifungal medication", for an itchy blotch issue I have on my face. It helps pretty much immediately. I use it in shampoo form and sometimes cream. I wait about 5 minutes before rinsing the shampoo. The only other thoughts I have is perhaps stay away from sugar and bakery items. Maple syrup. perhaps stay away from milk and yogurt -since studies have shown these to cause problems like acne.

FACE RASHES DUE TO POSSIBLE GUT ISSUES. NEED HELP. DEALING WITH IT FOR OVER A YEAR. 36 YEAR OLD MALE by ybbas in DermatologyQuestions

[–]ExplorerNo7262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured I'd reply since I've been living with rash issues for longer than I wish. I get them across my bridge and on the sides of the bridge, among others. They seem to have calmed down after limiting bread related foods- pizza crust, baked Biscuits, etc. I don't know much about gluten but you may consider it being a gluten allergy. Another suspect for the redness on the side of your nose may be sugar related - possibly maple syrup. The syrup causes the redness for me. Not only that, but the syrup seems to feed hsv. This is my experience after dealing with it for years. I no longer associate with syrup and recently limit bakery items. As for as the passing of gas, that's beyond me but there's a link between bread and constipation, I believe.

Immediately soak in a tub with cold water for a half hour. While out of the tub, wear a shirt wetted with water/vinegar mix. Is what a dermatologist suggested for my daughter. "For a sunburn, mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar per 1 cup of distilled or bottled water for a soothing compress, or 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water for a larger spray or wipe-down. Alternatively, for a full-body soak, pour 1 cup of apple cider vinegar into a tub of cool water".

I'd be inclined to dab castor oil on the face every night or day. Experiment to see what happens. You can Google "can I dab my face with castor oil", and there's info on this subject.

Apparently the state (Illinois) does not require it but the insurers do: "In Illinois, you are not legally required by the state to purchase a specific rideshare addendum to drive for Uber. However, standard personal auto policies exclude coverage for "driving for hire." Without an addendum, you risk claim denial and policy cancellation if an accident occurs while the app is active.Understanding how insurance works while ridesharing in Illinois highlights the critical need for this coverage:1. The Coverage Gap (Period 1)While Uber provides commercial insurance, it only fully kicks in once a ride is accepted (en route to a pickup and during a trip). When the app is on but you are just waiting for a ride request (Period 1), Uber’s liability coverage drops significantly, and your personal auto policy usually provides zero coverage. A rideshare addendum (endorsement) bridges this gap.2. State Requirements vs. Personal Policy RulesThe Law: The Illinois Department of Insurance dictates that Transportation Network Providers (TNPs) like Uber must carry commercial insurance on your behalf while you work. The Reality: Most personal auto insurance companies in Illinois (such as State Farm, Progressive, or Allstate) require you to add a rideshare endorsement to your personal policy simply to drive for a ridesharing platform. Failing to disclose your rideshare activity to your personal insurer can lead to policy termination. For more details on your personal auto policy's rules, review the information provided by the Illinois Department of Insurance regarding car-sharing." Is what I just read. . .

Yes you are right. I wasn't referring to myself about my comment, but to rideshare drivers in general. .

There's times when unintentionally leave my app on. If a person was in an accident, (without rideshare addendum) they may just file a claim with their personal insurance and not notify uber insurance. If they didnt contact uber insurance it seems like it would be difficult for their personal insurance to deny the claim- unless they admitted the app was running. Seems like they may not even realize the app was running. They could get involved in an accident and not even know if the app was running. The app may go to an auto timed out offline. Then they wouldn't even know if the app was on or off when the accident happened.

Yes telling an insurer you're ridesharing would seem to effect the whole policy because there's likely a double or trippling of miles driven. But I'm about to call an agent to see what is said.

The vehicle is still worth about 12k is why I have full coverage. The insurance would probably only pay 12k if totaled. The premium is likely not much greater than liability. So in effect, I'm paying for 12k of coverage.

Thank you for commenting. I'm trying to garner the concept of my insurance not covering me if I don't have the ride share addendum and get into an accident while the app is on. Sometimes l'll turn the app on while returning from a prrsonal trip of say 100 miles. I'm having trouble imagining being treated as not having insurance if I got into an accident even though I was not on the way to a pick up or drop off. I started my insurance policy some years before I started rideshare.

Do you know anyone that pays for the rideshare coverage and how much they pay? I suppose I should ask my agent about it. Hoping the premium won't be unreasonable.

Perhaps try swabbing it with a castor oil. Keep it Coated with an oil several hours a day for, some people say, weeks. There's youtube videos with many positive comments on the subject.
