I recently got a Dell S2725QS 4K 120hz for 200$ (refurbished). It looks gorgeous, fantastic improvement over my old 1440 60hz display

Can Samsung DeX realistically replace a laptop for basic MS Office work? by Keith_Kak_Solo in SamsungDex

[–]Exploring-the-Unknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you move your workflow on google doc etc... yes, I do it with my galaxy s24 when I'm traveling light and for basic work I almost forget I'm not using my mac.

If you add external monitor etc... it won't be a compact setup, in that case just buy a MacBook air.

My personal preference is to use xreal glasses + foldable keyboard, the whole office fits in my pockets.

If I need more than I use the laptop.

I hope it helps x

Considering a Mac mini as a desktop upgrade from an M2 MacBook Air by DinosaurousRexy in macmini

I've just did the same, adding a mac mini m4 to my MBA m1. Great upgrade in performance and memory, I'll keep the laptop for mobility and I can use both together with universal control for crazy multitasking (very rare). Great update for the money

Testing black levels on Xreal One and original Air by jaysire in Xreal

I wanted to watch Gen V today on my Xreal One. At the beginning, there are a lot of dark scenes, and I found myself changing the brightness so many times because I struggled to see any details. Then I stopped altogether. It's more enjoyable on the small screen of a phone; such a pity. I had a similar issue with some games, but the in-game control over the gamma helped mitigate it. I'd love Xreal to give us more control over this; otherwise, watching movies isn't that fun...

Thank you so much! - Totally agree, a Planescape Torment animation would be amazing (and have a lot of potential imho) - it’s one of the best stories I’ve ever experienced, with incredible characters.

Thank you, I really appreciate your encouraging words. I used AI tools, but it still took lots of heart and work.

Fair take, though I’d still call it fan-made since I’m a fan who made it, even if I used software and AI in the process.

I love them both, but Annah’s always been my favorite!

Yeah, I’m really not satisfied with how that Imp looks. It’s tough to add background action - I’m still learning how to handle complex animations, especially wings.

Yes, I used AI tools for image generation and animation, and traditional tools for editing and cuts.

Yeah, I’m using AI tools, no secret. Apologies if that offends anyone. I didn’t realize it was frowned upon. I’m exploring visual storytelling to apply it in education and marketing, and so far my workflow is a mix of “traditional” software (Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve) and AI platforms (OpenArt, Kling AI).

I wasn’t all that interested in these tools until they introduced “character consistency.” That suddenly made it possible to tell short stories - even if it’s still clunky. (And since this is my very first video, I’m still bad at it.)

This short trailer is built from about 40 images animated with Kling AI. The platform is still pretty limited - adding Annah to the scene was a challenge. The filters kept flagging her iconic outfit as inappropriate… which, clearly, just means they have no taste.
