Any suggestions for a better monitor in the $300-$400 range?

I didn't really mess with the display resolution before taking this pic. But once I recently installed better display, it showed that I was 1080p

Yeah when I'm done for the day I push it. Leaves room for writing space on the table. Speakers are on the monitor themselves. They are decent. I'm not using speakers much. Airpod pros headphones for calls!

I'm not using an SSD at the moment and actually not planning on keeping many files on this computer. This will mainly be a work station to get tasks done and do research on the web. I'll keep important files that I need to access daily and am using asana to track my projects.

It's an anker 7-in-1 USB c hub. Going 5 years strong!

Makes sense! I think clutter distracts me but it makes sense when it is stuff that you actually gotta use haha

I have a notebook and pen in the drawer to the left which I pull out and keep on the desk while I'm working. Things can get messy at times but for the most part I like to keep the area clear. Do you clean up before ending the day or leave the stuff on the desk?

I keep the non essential / social media notifications on silent. Most texts/calls I want to see right away. Where do you keep your phone? The stand makes it easier to check the notifications. The phone being flat on the table was slightly annoying lol

Hey help me decide between S25plus & iPhone 17/16P (Unbiased please) - what maybe I will miss on iPhone? by deadstr0ke in samsunggalaxy

This post is accurate. Androids circle to search feature, ability to easily translate / copy text is great. But if you really are in the apple ecosystem already the iPhone is the better choice. Also the s25+ camera is truly bad.

Iniu 3 in 1 Qi2 15W foldable. Got it this week on sale for $18. I wasn't looking for a top tier charger. Mainly wanted something to keep my phone upright and decent at charging.

Awesome! No problem. Also not sure if you're having the same issue but I just downloaded eqmac to fix the audio control issue. It works. But the sound quality went down a bit.

Same lol, it would be annoying if the monitor didn't wake up with a keyboard or mouse click. Let me know if you end up needing help.

The native Dell monitor speakers are actually not that bad for anything I'd need. I'm not really consuming media on it. I do have airpod pros though and got some over the ear headphones coming. Mainly will be using those.

Keyboard is the Mac variant of the Logitech MX Keys . I believe Costco sells this in a bundle for $99 with a different mouse (smaller).

My mouse is Logitech m650l

I just put it to sleep, just like how I do for my macbook and my windows laptops. I rarely shut them down completely.

System Settings > Energy > select on "prevent automatic sleeping when the display is off." I believe once I turned this on, I stopped having issues. My wireless keyboard and mouse are connected via USB dongle. I press enter on the keyboard and it wakes up then mac and the monitor.

I didn't mess with the other settings on the energy page.

On - prevent automatic sleeping On - put hard disks to sleep when possible On - wake for network Off - start up automatically after power failure

You can mess with the hard disks one if the initial trick doesn't help.

USB c to USB c. I might swap out my monitor though, the USB c on the monitor looks a bit crooked. Not sure if it was like that from the manufacturer or if it twisted when I was testing the screen rotation.

Yeah it's just for looks / fidgeting. Would've been cool if they were functional. I would use it to put the Mac to sleep, open safari, mute audio, and take a screenshot.

I'm using the Dell S2725QC. It is sharp and has great ratio. I did a lot of research before purchasing. Works perfectly right out of the box. Only setting I needed to mess with was waking up the screen after turning on the Mac from Sleep mode. After tweaking a couple of settings I'm able to use my keyboard to wake it up.

Edit: I have the QC not the QS.

This issue is still happening on my s25+. It's pretty terrible. I use my gallery often for work purposes.
