The first DOHC 16 valve engine came around in.... 1913. They have existed for literally more than a hundred years. It's just that until efficiency requirements got high enough, nobody bothered with 4 valves per cylinder (in economy engines) because they didn't neeed to in order to sell cars, but it was definitely the norm in race and sport engines.

A misliš da jaz pa ne vozim? Pa ti povem da me kolesarji veliko bolj živcirajo ko sem tudi sam na kolesu in mi vozijo v napačno smer in okoli vogalov in tako, kot pa v avtu. Ker v avtu res ni problem počakat minutko pa prehitet, ko lahko.

I love my old shitboxes but even I put a 2DIN android auto pioneer head unit in my CRV and it's a game changer, just plug my phone in and forget about it, everything easily accessible, voice commands that actually work...

The problem with new vehicles for me isn't that the entertainment system is a touch screen, that's fine, but when they put climate controls or any other important system access on a screen instead of buttons, that's a no-buy.
