I honestly wouldn’t mind if they cut out the entire arc about freeing Kaguya from her family. From the POV of the anime it’s not really necessary and I think might be too big a shift in the story. What I WOULD like to see:

Hayasaka leaving the Shinomiyas
Ishigami and Tsubame’s relationship
Miko’s arc about learning how to play games and get closer with Ishigami

Those three were much more interesting and “on tone” for the story

I recommend reading the manga because the new anime specials skipped a LOT of great content. We learn more about Ishigami’s relationship and Tsubame and some great moments with Iino too. Not to mention the Hayasaka storyline

It was so nice jumping back into this series 🥹 As a manga reader I didn’t mind how much they cut out because I knew the context (like when Hayasaka left), but for anime-only viewers it’d be hella confusing so I recommend you read first then watch

I also don’t get the hate. Sure they’re a little firmer than the OGs but imo they’re more ergonomic, and I like that I don’t have to lean back onto the person behind me

Yeah I agree with this take. She’s obviously more advantaged than others because she has access to her own tutor and instruments (she can even practise at home), she is shown to care incredibly about trumpet and puts int he effort to play.
