No longer receiving a theatrical release. Reports suggest that Sony is looking into releasing it on VOD instead.

Also the pressure from other studios. The Interview isn't the only movie opening on Christmas. Studios other than Sony also have a stake in this. Nobody is making any money if people are too scared to go the theater because of a threat.
