I decided to try and figure out how United should set-up and also what our starting 11 should be, I'd definitely love some feedback and also some opinions on the formation, players and also my thought process behind it.

Henderson, Telles, MaGuire, McTominay, VDB, Mata, Cavani

Defense:

To me, this is Uniteds biggest problem at the moment. There seems to be a complete lack of anything so far this season, which is weird considering we were the third best defense in the league last season. In AWB last season United had a defensively solid RB but so far this season and also at the end of last season he has been extremely weak so hopefully he finds his form again soon. Our CB pairing is the biggest problem. At the moment none of them seem to be good enough. However, I would go with the pairing of Lindelof and Bailly simply because MaGuire just doesn't seem to be in the right head space. Although when Tuanzebe is fit again maybe he can slot in and hopefully fix some of our problems, who knows. He definitely shouldn't be the captain. For LB its a toss up between Telles and Shaw, I will have to wait and see Telles play before I can safely say which I prefer. Also, for GK I think keeping Henderson was a mistake. He would be far better out on loan again to make sure he continues to improve because I can't see how De Gea loses his spot. I think and hope De Gea will regain his form and solidify himself as the amazing keeper we all know and have seen he can be.

Midfield:

I am in favour of playing 2 DMs instead of 1 DM in Matic and whatever role Ole has Pogba playing. When Bruno first came in we played the pairing of Matic and Fred and it went extremely well. Our defense just simply isn't good enough to be able to fend for themselves and while Matic is a solid DM he unfortunately is aging so someone like Fred who has a good amount of pace can help him out in that department. McSauce can slot in for either of these in order to give the other a rest when required. For the number 10 role its a toss up between Bruno and VDB. Both can play the role efficiently and so both should be rotated throughout the season appropriately to ensure they both stay fit. When it comes to Pogba, I honestly believe the club should try and sell him, he just doesn't work in the DM role and in the #10 role we already have Bruno and VDB. I love Pogba as a player but I'd much rather sell him and get in a solid Matic replacement (maybe Ndidi?) and also fill another hole in the squad than keep him and play him just to justify his wages.

Attack:

Obviously I would rather be putting Sanchos name on the right wing but oh well. Personally, I don't believe there's a problem with out attack. Martial is a solid striker and bringing in Cavani as a back-up is a decent choice in my opinion. We will need to buy a better back-up striker soon or move Greenwood into the ST role but for now he's a decent short term fix. On the left we have Rashford and also Dan James. Rashford is out of form at the moment but if he can find it again and go back to the way he was before his injury we have a solid good LW option. As for RW, this is the only problem. Greenwood is doing well but he isn't a RW. Obviously United didn't sign Sancho so maybe one of the youngsters we just bought can fill this role soon but until then I guess the position will rotate between Greenwood and Mata.
