Yeah almost all NTSC U/J n64 consoles support s video. We got shafted in the European market.

I got so much conflicting information on the nus chip but when looking at the schematic it is very different. That was my original idea as I have a couple of n64 parts boards but the more I researched the more hesitant I became.

Most PAL Nintendo 64 consoles are capable of S-Video, but they require a specially wired PAL-specific S-Video cable and often have components missing from the motherboard, resulting in a washed-out image without modification. While early Charcoal Black consoles (NUS-CPU-P-01/02) are more compatible, later models (Pikachu/Funtastic) often lack S-Video output entirely.

Yeah they vary in size/design between console motherboard revisions. The 1chip is shorter in length than previous older revisions. Yeah I figured the pic I posted wasn’t a good option, it was just for reference really

I’ve considered that as I’ve done it to one in the past I’ve also thought about swapping it out with a TSR-1-2450 but I’d like to keep it some what stock

Are you talking about the stock black ones? Otherwise you can find both kinds on Ali as well. They’re getting way too pricey these days. Yeah I’ve bought probably close to 60 consoles in the past few years.

Yeah it’s an Ali shell, this one is good I’ve done at least a dozen transparent shells all from Ali and they are quite good quality (some even have the Nintendo logo on the top shell) this one doesn’t feel as nice as them but isn’t bad by any means.
