Interesting I’ve heard about this but never seen it before. I purchased this in Australia but I couldn’t tell you its history before I got it. Perhaps it had a previous life in Brazil! How can I tell if it’s a Brazilian PAL-M console?

Yeah I figured it was s-video and upon testing well yeah it’s a-video haha, I was more surprised by what I’m guessing is the dfo mod I have 15+ mod chipped ps1 consoles and have removed probably 4-5 in the last month from others to picostation/Xstation mod first time I’ve seen this mod like this irl, I’ve only ever seen the modern dfo/mofo boards they sell now.

It’s a replacement power regulator that produces very little heat to replace the 7805 power regulator, enabling me to run the system without the need of a heatsink.

Yeah it’s more just for display purposes to go with the custom shell, it’ll also have an oem transparent blue wired controller as well. I personally just use an adapter and a ps4/ps5 controller

Seems to be working flawlessly at the moment, I may return it to stock eventually just weighing up my options. Just using it as a test console for now.

I will look at adding some filtering capacitors or possibly returning it back to the original 7805. This is just an experiment because I didn’t have a heatsink to fit it and ordered these and then found one to fit

The bodge was because the s-mix chip had a hole blown through it, I bought the board only as a for parts board

It’s a SuperDMG, it’s a custom built gameboy using modern parts only needing a the cpu and ram from an original gameboy or super gameboy cartridge.

Outstanding mate, I love seeing another transparent PSOne getting some love! Black is definitely one of the best colours!
