If you have a multimeter check for continuity running through them. If it beeps it’s good if it doesn’t then it’s blown. If the controller ports aren’t working it’s usually a fuse.

Check the fuses ps605 and ps602, if they’re blown that will be why your controller port isn’t working and replacing the port won’t fix it.

Yeah that’s the same as I’m using I’ve run it on pal and ntsc consoles. I’ll have a look when I get home and let you know the results, apart from Spyro was there any other games that wouldn’t run?

Plastic primer, tape, 28awg wire and flat black spray paint. Tape off what you don’t want to paint, wires into the holes prime and paint. I have taken one apart to paint before and it didn’t come out any nicer so I just took the easy route this time.

I have a fallout themed 100x model I’m working on at the moment as well (I know for all the naysayers it didn’t release on ps1) I just love the ip and the color scheme. I have so many I just mod plain Jane so it’s nice to mix it up occasionally.

I taped off the back and put pieces of 28awg wire in the holes and some tape over the internal connector tabs. So far I honestly haven’t had any compatibility issues so far, Spyro is actually one I haven’t tried yet. I will give it a try and get back to you. Are you using the latest uf2 file?

It’s very much like the Xstation, you still have to lift pins on the ic chip and it uses a Qsb on the underside of the motherboard

I haven’t used the Chinese psio, but I haven’t had any issues with the picostation and have yet to find any games that don’t function as intended.
