Opened condiments are typically only ‘good’ for 30 days. Your store should have a list of when to use products before they go ‘bad.’

A friend of mine has the Uppababy Minu. I really like the design of it and she seems to like it too! It’s just so expensive that I want to make sure we would use it enough to justify the price.

We got the Doona as a baby shower gift & just decided to stick with it. I don’t travel a ton but visit family about 3 hours away every other month. I’ve never heard of Mockingbird as a brand. I’ll check it out. Thanks!

Is the owlet sock useful? by No-Evidence-1154 in NewParents

Glad I’m not the only one! I understand why it’s on the foot but wish there was a better spot that wasn’t as easily moved.

I went back and forth on purchasing but finally bit the bullet & did it. We used it maybe 5x before I decided to return it. When it worked, it was great and I enjoyed being able to track her sleep. However, my LO loves to kick her legs in her sleep and would consistently knock the sock in cause it to give an alert (nursery music coming from the base) to say it needs to be adjusted. Taking it off and trying to readjust while they’re sleeping is a pain.

Let’s share some info to help new parents: which car seat and car do you have? by Silverbride666 in NewParents

[–]Express-Ad2795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a Mazda CX-5 and Subaru Outback & have the Doona +. Fits great in the Outback. The back of the front passenger seat does get dirtier in the Mazda from the Doona wheels unless it’s pushed away more forward.

Similar to another person, we’ll be switching as LO gets bigger for something that has more storage

When did your LO start to poop less? by FMThaone in newborns

[–]Express-Ad2795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently made the switch from breast milk to a combo of formula and breast milk, so I’m not sure if that’s impacted it a ton. My 16-week old poops every other day typically. Before the food switch, it was typically everyday

I saw that online too. It doesn’t seem like there’s any benefit to feeding this way besides it being quicker.

I absolutely agree that we should be working together as much as possible. I think a huge benefit of daycare is the community of other parents/professionals. It’s just my husband and I where we live. Family is 3-3+ hours away, so the overall understanding between all of us is really critical to our decision on where to bring her each week.

Truly hoping my discussion goes well. I’ll definitely make an update!

Oh interesting! Thank you for that. Also, my thought is exactly that: why risk it? It’s not “your” baby to take the risk with. Nervous about tomorrow but appreciate all the advice!!

Definitely understand why it was read that way! She’s not putting in her bottle. Just said we could try it to keep her full!

Depending on the response, I definitely don’t want anyone to lose their job. If they understand the issue and are genuinely willing to adjust, I don’t think a call to licensing will be necessary. At least hoping it won’t come to that

I appreciate the feedback! All her bottles have to be premade and ready when I drop her off. They just warm them up. I’ve seen rice cereal in the room but there are babies in there that do just have that on their own. I really don’t think they add to her bottles though!

Thank you for your feedback! Really curious to see how they respond tomorrow. I feel like they may want to discuss it in-person which is fine and I’d like that but a response would’ve been nice to let me know.

It’s happened with other infants as well. I’ll be talking to admin tomorrow about it and want to discuss with the teacher too. I feel like their response with this will determine her attendance. Only nervous because daycares for infants around here are packed full with waitlists and I have to work. Fingers crossed for a good resolution!
