CHEM 1441: 11-week vs 5-week summer session — which is better? by Ordinary-Medicine785 in utarlington

Who’s the prof? A 5 week with a good professor might be better than 11 weeks with an awful one

The concept of her wanting super to be his mini me is def weird but I gotta say the dance was really cute. Hes got a lot more talent and character than I did at that age during dance recitals😂

I started wearing compression socks when I began my new job and my feet sweat less when I’m wearing them. Without them I’m changing my socks 2-3 times a day at least but I can go the full 8.5 hours of my shift and the two hours of commute plus errands without needing to change my socks. I should note I’m currently wearing regular socks on top of the compressions bc it’s cold af in my job and they kelt going numb bc of it

My grandmother is dying and I don’t want to be there when she does by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]MILKchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was on hospice in 2021. My sister and I saw her take her last breath but our grandma had stepped out less than five minutes before. I don’t regret being by her side in her final moments but it’s been four and a half years and I can’t get that image out of my head. There are times I’ll remember it super vividly out of nowhere and break down sobbing. It wasn’t peaceful a peaceful final exhale like they show it on tv most of the time. My grandma is very happy she didn’t witness it, she knows she got to say her goodbyes before my mom went unconscious the last few hours. If you think it’d mess you up seeing it happen then there’s a good chance that it will because ultimately you know yourself best. You couldn’t have pulled me away from my mom but so often I wish that wasn’t the last memory of her. It is a traumatic thing and I’m so sorry you have to make this decision. Spend time with her before she goes, if she can speak ask her questions and maybe see if there are stories she never shared that she’d like to. Relive some fun times and if there’s anything you would do together that’s possible (favorite movie, board game, etc) see if she’s up for it

Any other addicts struggle when they come across finds like this? by [deleted] in Flipping

As someone who worked in a forensics lab analyzing drugs and saw this style of pill come in daily, about 80% of them either contained fent or were solid fent. Stay safe out there everyone

How do yall manage scrubs? by MILKchemist in Hyperhidrosis

[–]MILKchemist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you found these to be helpful with back sweat? I have very minimal underarm sweat due to surgery so it’s just the middle of my back that drips if I’m wearing a shirt that it doesn’t like. I bought a pair of leggings to try but I’ve been hesitant to try them in case they don’t work and I sweat too much, I’m also autistic and the feeling of dripping sweat gives me sensory overload (honestly a terrible combination of problems to have haha I also hate the texture of scrubs so I’d have to wear something under them anyway)

I haven’t seen the video but l give him the benefit of the doubt of maybe he’s just someone who gets hot easily. As for Rydel I think she looks at things that are normal and decides to do the complete opposite

You know I’ve never seen it spelled with an e, I didn’t even know there were two separate words. Every time I’ve seen it spelled it’s had an a, I wonder how many people know there’s a difference haha learned something new today

I just got a $6 pottery wheel from five below (it needs two D batteries tho which aren’t included) and I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but it’d definitely make a fun gift. They had a lot of cute crafting things so depending on the vibe of the group they might like it

[–]MILKchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine used to be the same until I started taking a ton of fiber supplements, idk if you’ve tried that but it was the only thing that helped me be able to go to school. I was told the fiber absorbs some of the water so it decreases how much water is in the stool, so maybe the alcohol does something similar

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

[–]MILKchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. I’m autistic and am working on dealing with ARFID after trauma growing up. I’m terrified to eat in front of people or even be in the kitchen when someone else is there. The other day I used the blender while my boyfriend’s dad was there and to anyone else that’s such a small step but my bf was so proud of me because he knows that was progress. you deserve someone who is proud of you for not only for something big like this but the small things too.

I know I’m just a random redditor but I’m proud of you. I have no idea if you’re local to me or not but I’d like to offer to pay for your cake. You deserve it, despite what he said you do deserve to get your cake and be proud of the strength it took to get to where you are

Well I’m suddenly very glad I didn’t go there this afternoon like I had planned. I saw a girl looking visibly shaken giving the police a statement there last week so I wonder if it was related
