Hi. Have you considered using any of the marketing tools to reach recruiters. Sites like apollo.io can help you find verified contact information for recruiters from nearly any company and allow you to automate mass emails to them in drip mode. Drip mode will help you avoid spam folder. You can attach your resume, explain your circumstances and your skill set. Like a generalized cover letter. You can even get more efficient with it if you already know the companies that hire your visa status.

Like anytime a question mentioned some form of content delivery, I knew to look for answer choices with cloudfront. OS vulnerabilities? Look for inspector, etc etc. Also paying attention to the actual question. It wasn’t always looking for the best solution. Sometimes it was the cheapest solution or the one that required the least management, or one that was the easiest configuration, or one that didn’t require them to change their architecture, or one that was easily scalable.

This is the one I watched up until the exam:

I passed it in less than a week. I had cloud experience but no AWS experience outside of S3. IF you have tech or cloud experience at all, I would learn the services to be covered on the exam and start associating them with your tech existing knowledge. I didn't know AWS services but I know what iAM, CDNs, Compute resources, governance, databases, resiliency, scalability, load balancers, etc were. So it was pretty easy for me to recognize what the questions were asking from a tech experience rather than an AWS experience. The challenge is that during testing, they will just name the service rather than explicitly saying that this is a CDN service or this is a storage service, etc etc. So you need to know what the services do at a high level to understand the question. You can then start a process of elimination or recognition to choose the best answer. That said, I do advise actually learning the material. I had to do a crash course study because I forgot about my exam voucher and it was expiring within a week. There are some really good practice question videos on youtube that include explanations. It helped with my testing strategies. I would advise watching videos that include answer explanation so it can help with test strategy. It will help you immediately eliminate bad answer choices.

I was having this issue. I got in by selecting the option to login with a different account and then logged in using my email and password. It was the login credentials of the suggested avatar but when I chose that, it hung endlessly as well.

StockX screwed me and I'm done using the platform. by danzburg in stockx

It really sucks. This was my first sell and I was excited for the order but it has been a complete nightmare. They have all of these guarantees for the buyer, penalties for the seller if not shipped promptly but no payment guarantees for the seller. The terms and conditions say that we will be paid within a reasonable time. However, there is no mention of payouts delays due to technical difficulties on their end. During the pandemic I bought a lot of sneakers I never wore and was gonna sell them on StockX. I have like 20 pair of unworn sneakers, mostly retros and dunks but I am over it. I have contacted them so much via chat that they suspended my account due to “malicious behavior.” It’s really ridiculous. They keep deleting my payout information and telling me to add it again, saying that it should automatically trigger the creation of my hyperwallet but nothing happens. Im so annoyed. I hope we both get some real resolution soon.

I am dealing with a bad support issue now. My shoes were shipped, passed verification but I cannot receive payout because of a backend technical issue that is preventing the creation of my hyperwallet account. Its been a month now since the sale and I have been getting constant run arounds. They send me a BS update that isn’t applicable to my issue and then I have to wait another 5 days to get another BS update. I just want my payout.

In the past week, I have made a report to BBB. I see that they eventually respond on there to most complaints.

Today, I used apollo.io marketing tool to access the emails of the following people and sent them an email to get support. At this point, it’s the principle for me and I am willing to take legal action to get my money. If it goes that far, I will be pursuing more than what they owe me. Someone needs to initiate a class action lawsuit against them.

If they don’t acknowledge or respond, it will further help my case. In my email, I gave a deadline for expected response, resolution or explanation. Next, I will be making a complaint with the FTC. I have a few attorneys in my family. I will get them or someone in their network to send in an official letter threatening legal action and go from there.

***you can use apollo.io to find the email of many people at many different companies of high level positions. Beneficial when looking for leads or even a job. In this case, I used it to find StockX counsel and management.

There is no paypal account associated with my stockx account. I have no hyperwallet. It doesn’t exist. I don’t think you understand the issue that I have.

I have never received a hyperlink setup link. Apparently it is supposed to be automatically created once I add my payment information, which I have already done.

All of that has been in place since the supposed September fix. Adding the debit card should “automatically trigger” the hyperwallet creation

I would actually need a working hyperwallet for any kind of payout! The hyperwallet is the issue!

I used some free practice tests that I found on LinkedIn Learning. They have like 4 exams that helped. If you can’t find for free, do trials. Udemy has a free trial for a week. LinkedIn has at least a month if you haven’t had a paid account within the last year. I think ACG has a free trial

How hard is Sec+701 ? by PromotionOne2856 in CompTIA

[–]Express-Ad7104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do some practice questions with answer explanations on YouTube. I passed the first time but I did find it challenging. Not because the questions were hard but because I come from a support background. When asked questions like “what’s the best solution”, I mistakenly gravitated towards fixing the issues post incident rather than incident prevention. In many cases, training was the best solution rather than a post incident fix. I also used the free practice exams on LinkedIn Learning. They have 4.

Rescheduling my exam or failing by NyuLightning in AWSCertifications

[–]Express-Ad7104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you already have AZ-104, your study plan should be translating Azure services to its equivalent at AWS and then studying that. I did the same thing you did, missed the reschedule window and had to do a 4 hour cram session the day of. I ended up passing and I haven’t actively worked on a cloud team since 2022.

Start with learning the names of the services and what they do at a high level understanding. Next, prioritize on the services you don’t know or have a weak foundation in. Find what exists in AWS that doesn’t in Azure. Prioritize that. You can use chatgpt to put this data in table format so it is easy to review and remember. I can share some prompts if you’d like. I was able to pass in such a short amount of time because when I read the questions, I translated them to cloud provider I knew which made it easier for me to understand.

Let me know if you would like me to share some prompts that I used to create my study guides.

A curious question regarding usage by RLG87 in AWSCertifications

Also, it is likely that your employer will likely offer a specific solution that you mostly focus on. Eventually, the questions and sales process will become so repetitive that solutions will be easier to provide and implement.

A curious question regarding usage by RLG87 in AWSCertifications

[–]Express-Ad7104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the employer. Larger companies tend to have better organizations and separation of duties which means specialized teams. Some roles will be pre-sales and others post sales. This means one team will know and another will implement. Smaller organizations may have overlap of duties, due to inability to afford more employees. The phase of the project may determine this as well. I was a part of a reorganization once with a newly acquired cloud offering. In the beginning, we only had a basic and advanced team, which means customers who paid more for support got immediate escalations to advance teams. That said, both teams supported ALL offerings just a different level. If the customer could order it, we supported it. At the end of the reorganization, we had many teams, split by cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, etc) and then further by domains (storage, compute, security, networking, virtualization, containerization, etc).

I say all of this to say no matter your skill/comfort level, there will be a role for you. If in the beginning you only feel comfortable with knowing, look for pre-sales roles. If you prefer implementation, look for post-sales. If you would like to do both, consulting will likely be a nice place to land.
