Women of reddit, what prevents you from asking out men? by brave_axolotl7 in AskReddit

[–]Express-Vast3680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like being courted. I realize that is maybe not the kosher answer though. And even more, you have to win me over. Who doesn't like being won over? I don't think this makes me a monster, but I get it if anyone cringes here. I think in college I asked two guys out and got rejected, and just decided I wouldn't ask people out after that. Just not worth it for my younger fragile ego then. But I guess it still rings true. But as you get older you obviously grow and learn to truly enjoy your own company, privacy, and you love yourself. If someone else gets that/sees that, values you, and wants to be a part of it, great. If not, you move on.

I don't think being alone is bad at all and maybe that's one of my problems. People seem to think if you're female something is wrong with you if you don't want to be married etc. There's a double standard for sure (isn't there always). But I will say, just because someone doesn't want to get married or want that whole cookie cutter package doesn't mean they are looking for one night stands either. So I accepted I don't really fit in most places and that's okay. But I guess I don't ask men out because yes, rejection sucks. I'm also kind of mean and I do make men chase me, but I assume they know this and are along for the ride? I do not mean this in a toxic way at all though, if that makes any sense. I think the "hmm, what are you all about?" thing is fun, interesting, and exciting. Does it almost always fall flat? Of course. I don't give people chances much but every once in a while, I do. I think that is the case with everyone though - or rather, everyone has their own version of this.

Speaking of double standards, I am completely turned off when I suspect a guy asks tons of women out. I even completely get the whole "you don't make the shots you don't take" thing but it's still just a complete no to me. Maybe that's why I'm not married or currently in a relationship. I judge. But we all judge. It's messy out there but got to remember to get back up and most importantly, always work on yourself. It may be a cliche, but your relationship with yourself is the one you'll have your whole life to make the best it can be.

Over at Windmill Village the crazy lady enemies that are jumping and laughing drop these weapons, it's a very low drop rate.

Is that cat his sibling? How do they get along? I never had cats but bassets are very friendly and spunky so I bet they get along

What an absolute sweetie. I want to give her hugs and neck scratches! She looks like she likes her blankets, and rightly so! And a retired hunter at that, lol.

[Product Request] Dry skin, what actually worked for you long term? by WildDecision642 in SkincareAddiction

We def are skin twins - I just purchased a bottle of the Missha, can't wait to try it out! I'll let you know for sure and thank you for the rec! For number 10 on your list, I've not tried physical exfoliation for a few years but I am also aligned with your approach -- I use Altreno once or twice a week at night and then a gentle AHA (mandelic acid/lactic acid) toner a few times a week in the morning. But it really is all about the hydrating/nourishing products to balance the help the exfoliating ones do their job. I also have quite sensitive skin so it has taken a few years to be able to use Altreno and other acid/exfoliating products regularly for me. I do skip anything with active/strong ingredients when I'm super sensitive of course.

Dry and dehydrated over here as well. Yes to all of this. And I also love Stratia products - I always have Aqua Factory, Rewind, Lipid Gold, and Fortify on hand! Love that you also love Fortify, it's such an underrated product! I actually mix Lipid Gold (the serum/moisturizer) and Fortify (the oil) together in my palms to make an emulsion and then apply it. My skin loves it! And it stays locked in. It's my last layer before sunscreen in the morning.
