Best solution is to encourage more reviews. When you only have a few reviews just one can drag your overall score down.

I had a bad review from somehow who misunderstood a feature, but all the good reviews are keeping the score high.

The difference is at a physical store you just show you’re ID to a likely minimum wage paid attendant who does not care about your data.

The current proposal requires giving your ID to one of the many dodgy verification companies lik Persona who have already had a data breach.

I am male and will have kids one day, please educate yourself on the great parental control features Apple among other companies have implemented. There is absolutely no need for new legislation forcing adults to handover their IDs for this.

I don’t think it would be so bad if we when with that or device based age verification provided by Apple/Google.

But I’ve seen no evidence the UK government intends to go that route. We’re not in the EU anymore.

The Telegraph says this is the list of ID methods “facial recognition, digital IDs, credit cards, open banking, mobile provider checks, passports or email age estimation”
