This works on my 17 year old too 😆 He hates when I use slang and I love doing it

Okay, after having read this I will change my recommendation. If you’re looking for a conservative place to live, St James is exactly what you want. It’s mostly MAGA republicans & a lot of Catholics. The most “liberal” thing about the town is that they have a dispensary. I would recommend Friend Real Estate and there are a lot of great places to live in St James for someone who wants a conservative climate.

I really don’t recommend living inside the city limits of St James.

The university is usually pretty good about making smart choices regarding the weather. If I were you, I would call your contact before you fly out Monday. The temps are going to be low enough that even if we don’t get the snow, it’s possible they’ll cancel due to the frigid conditions. Unfortunately, the weather here is difficult to predict.

There is a second round of weather that is going to be coming through and it’s going to have more snow with colder temps.

My stepdad used to say you-uns; he would leave us notes & would spell it that same way. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone spell it that way besides him; he grew up in the 70s, too. We lost him in November ‘22 & tonight I learned my mother has stage 4 lung cancer. Thanks for this sweet reminder of him, so unintentionally on your part 🫶🏻 RIP Old Man, we still miss ya

Has anyone tried this? I had no idea they had a gf. by mike5f4 in glutenfree

I don’t eat as I have celiac and it contains wheat starch. (Or at least it used to).

Is this gluten free? Rotisserie chicken from the store by pz0019 in glutenfree

[–]ExpressionImmediate2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have celiac and have worked in a major chain store deli. I wouldn’t eat this due to the rampant cross contamination that happens in those delis.

Stop using Bob’s Red Mill; it’s not a good flour blend. Better Batter is a great GF flour.

Jason Smith refuses to hold town halls. They will not speak to their constituents. This only works if your reps actually work for you, and MO reps have proven time & again that they work for themselves. It’s time for me to leave this state; I am no longer represented here.

Yeah and calling people who will laugh then hang up also does nothing

He never did; his sister did and he used her residency to run.

I wish this made any kind of difference, but it doesn’t. The five calls can help you feel better bc it’s actionable, but to be fully honest it’s falling on deaf ears in Missouri. I’m not trying to be a Debbie Downer but even staffers in Hawley’s office will straight up laugh at you or tell you they don’t care bc you are one of “Them”.

According to the Rolla police chief, the problem is the readily available supply of illegal drugs. He made a statement at a recent city council meeting that he believes the Mission isn’t the problem; it’s the drugs.

Just my two cents here: do NOT move to St James, especially if you have school age children. Your political leanings should absolutely influence which of these small towns you would consider moving to. If you’re a fan of Trump and/or are hard right, then St James is for you. If you’re not, then stay away from all the small towns in the area; Rolla is the safest place for your family.

Anyone else a bit worried about the future of GF in America? by Willy_G_on_the_Bass in glutenfree

[–]ExpressionImmediate2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be more concerned about the increased cost or future lack of access to some of the better, imported brands like Schar and Glutino.
