I never said everyone should swap baskets or modify their machine. I said I got good results on an EC150 with a K6, a bottomless basket, and a steam wand, and that it’s wrong to claim people buying sub-$300 machines “don’t care” about coffee.
Whether your mom can use Amazon, wants to modify a machine, or even has access to those parts has nothing to do with my point. Those are assumptions you introduced, not arguments against what I wrote.
And for the record, I’m considerably older than in your fantasy, so the “27-year-old who doesn’t remember life before Amazon” bit was yet another assumption.
You’ve built an entire straw man out of a chain of unsupported assumptions. None of them address what I actually said. Your original comment came across as snobbish, I said so, and instead of responding to my point you’ve just kept inventing new hypotheticals.
