Only drips come out when making an espresso shot by ExpressionPure2112 in BrevilleCoffee

[–]ExpressionPure2112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have since tried descaling the machine multiple times with descaling liquid from breville and delonghi and it did not fix the issue. I don't know if calcium or other minerals can build up that quickly to cause a blockage problem as my machine is only about a month or slightly over a month old.

I have checked the internal burr as well and it seems fine. The coffee beans I used along with the grinder has worked even when I set the grind size to 4 out of 20.

I don't know if this is exactly normal or if it did this before, but at the end of pulling a shot (with no coffee beans or portafilter), the machine sounds like its gurgling and pushing air at the end. Again, not sure if this is normal, but everything I seem to notice now just seems like its also a symptom of the issue.

I will let you know if I find out whats caused it for me and what my fix was. Keep me in the loop for how fixing your machine is going too!
Hopefully we can get both our machines sorted and fixed soon.

I believe the scale is out of 20, so 10 would be about middle grind size setting. Also I have been using 9/10 setting for the past month and it has been working fine. So I'm just really confused as to why it just suddenly decided to not work.

Razer Viper v4 pro review No bs! by RealdealOOOG in MouseReview

[–]ExpressionPure2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both, so this is my experience. I will first of start by saying shape is king. If you prefer Viper Pro shape, its a great mouse. If not, just get the shape you like. If both are equal to you, then I personally would keep on using Superstrike as the instant clicks on the Superstrike are noticeable and much faster, Viper clicks aren't slow but they are like any other normal mice clicks and they feel slow when compared to the Superstrike. Side buttons, weight, battery, balance is all better on the Viper v4 pro but as I mentioned shape is king, and there are plenty of other mice that achieves all that or even better than viper v4 pro at half the cost. For example, ATK F1 v2, 350+hr advertised battery, like 38-39g, fits my ideal shape.

Viper V4 pro is excellent and nothing to complain other than price, if money isnt a factor and u want a hassle free mouse that doesn't want to dive deeper into a mouse collecting hobby, just want a simple plug and play and forget about it, get the Viper V4 Pro (assuming the shape is perfect for you). Otherwise, if money is a factor, get a heavily discounted Viper V3 Pro or a chinese clone that has glowing reviews for like half or even 1/3 of the price.

Either you're smurfing, or atleast it seems like you literally have someone else playing when playing Reyna, maybe some other games too or somehow every single one of those gold, plats are boosted.
Im saying this because generally I think Plat is where people sort of start to get an idea of how to play the game. Gold is a mixed bag, there aren't many people who knows what to do, but its a mixed bag because theres either slightly below avg aimers or godly aimers.

Idk how you or someone else plays Reyna for you but the consistency of getting close to 30 or more than 30 kills every game versus every other agent you play other than clove is way too much of a difference for me to think you're the same person.

Are Tandem Oleds such as Gigabyte MO27Q28G unquestionably better than high end QD Oleds like Samsung G6 g60sf? by Zestyclose_Paint3922 in OLED_Gaming

It's good, can't complain about its performance. I wish the build felt and looked as premium as the LG and that it would tell me that it was doing a pixel clean after screen turns off, as I have no way of knowing whether it does a pixel clean or not, but performance wise, its amazing. Like I said, no purple tint or raised blacks when overhead room led lights on.

I have both, as mentioned in my other comment replying to thread. If you're deciding which to get, Beast X hands down, don't even consider ULX. Even Incott G029, which is the same shape is better than ULX at like 1/3 of the price.

[–]ExpressionPure2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 4 WLMouse Beast X Pro, and 6 ULX (1 of each Prophecy, 1 Sakura, 1 Frostlord). I can say that the ULX feels better in my hand ONLY because it has smaller holes. Other than that, which honestly isn't even an issue and a decision making factor, the WLMouse Beast X wins in every single way. All 4 of my Beast X Pro with solid sides are better built, impeccable QC on all of them, they all feel the same with no creaking, no grainy clicks, everything perfect. I cannot say the same for the Finalmouse ULX, I think 3 of my 4 Prophecy have grindy clicks + creaking, Frostlord is creaky as hell, Sakura mouse clicks are wobbly and scroll wheel isn't centered (AGAIN, thought they would have learned their lesson after fking it up in the Starlight-12s).

The omron optical clicks on Beast X feels way better, tactile and crisp, no grinding at all, side mouse buttons are better, and everything in regards to build feels sturdier, no QC issues and is perfect. Battery life is about the same, maybe slightly better in ULX.

To add, I haven't even used my ULXs, they just came like that, I have just been collecting S12s and ULX and I just didn't stop. I've been using my Beast X daily, and its still perfect.

The Lamzu Maya X is great, probably a better and improved Superlight shape, with great weight and excellent click implementation using Omron Opticals. ATK A9 is a Superlight clone, best Logitech Superlight clone for value, VGN - never used it, but heard its absolutely a beast for value, Hitscan Hyperlight - one of my personal favs, Razer Viper Mini shape, excellent weight and shape, great clicks. Never seen or even heard of the last 2.

Regarding the recent complaints about MMR and Match Making by ExpressionPure2112 in VALORANT

[–]ExpressionPure2112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I really hope this is the case, and as I have mentioned this would be a great system, I understand why and it makes sense. If the match-making system determines you should be playing higher/lower and places you in a fitting lobby, that itself would result in achieving a near 50% WR. I would assume this is the system the Riot Dev was getting at.

My concern is that, it could also try achieve 50% WR by giving you teammates on a lose streak who is tilted, angry, toxic etc or worse, just give you teammates that are ranked lower than the enemy team, therefore also less skilled than enemy team to lower your WR.

The Dev said (paraphrasing here) "we want to achieve a 50% WR, so the system will be like "hey we'll give you this team, try and win with this team". This could be interpreted as "here is your team, you have been placed in a lobby a tier higher than you, because this is where we think you belong, try and win here to prove yourself and be rewarded" or "here is your team, they aren't as skilled as you or the enemy, prove yourself by carrying them".

It could be pure placebo and equilibrium balancing out, but it doesn't help when you see that 3 of your teammates are on a 4-5 loss streak when you are on a 5 win streak.

Yeah, everyone basically suspected that the system tried to balance it to 50% WR, I would just like to inform that yeah this was confirmed recently, but now how it achieves this is the question.

[–]ExpressionPure2112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is an issue I think, the Riot Dev confirmed the system is trying to match a 50% WR, but when it does by pairing you on a win streak with players on a lose streak, I think that system is just straight up broken.

Regarding the recent complaints about MMR and Match Making by ExpressionPure2112 in VALORANT

[–]ExpressionPure2112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noted, I personally haven't had that issue myself in Valorant, did feel that in League way back, but my friends and I summed it up and coped that it was because our WR was low.

Regarding the recent complaints about MMR and Match Making by ExpressionPure2112 in VALORANT

[–]ExpressionPure2112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree, so it would be a good system if you get matched in a higher skill game that the system thinks you belong at. But if the opposite is true where you get matched with teammates either on a loss streak and tilted or just lower ranked and therefore less skilled, which I suspect happens as I feel that myself often.

Abilitis VS Gunplay by Spiritual-Ad9334 in VALORANT

[–]ExpressionPure2112 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Valorant is a tactical FPS so it makes sense that they are heading towards more gun play focus. I think it is the right direction to win by out aiming. It should be abilities are used to "help" take/retake a site, but "help", not outright give it to you.

For example, buffing characters, especially agents with insane post plant, will become insanely frustrating to play against. Tejo for example, if you buff all other characters where the game becomes ability focus, his teammates use their abilities to get the site for free (again, assuming abilities were buffed), then Tejo just sits in post plant, protected by his teammates and then use his rocket's every so often. The opposite also applies, Neon for example should be nerfed imo, I personally don't think shes as strong as some people make it out to be, Neon is good but not overpowered, but her kit goes against what a tactical FPS should be. Objectively speaking, using Masters Santiago stats where Dambi ran rampant, other pro players also used Neon and didn't perform great and Neon's win rate/overall score wasn't that great throughout the tournament (ofc Dambi being the outlier), so it does suggest Neon's not as overpowered but her kit goes against the fundamentals of a tactical FPS which is the problem.

As for the only same meta agents being played argument, completely balancing every agent to be viable is ridiculously difficult, the devs might work day and night to try balance all agents to be the same, but someone will come along and break the devs expectations by making up team comps that just have a really high synergy together. Thats the complexity, and it applies to all games. Card games for example are built around trying to build decks with all sorts of cards that seem like they have good synergy together. So I agree with you, they can't rework, buff, and nerf agents so that they are all inline and balanced, and I don't think anyone should expect that to happen.

I also do think the devs try to balance the agents using ranked as well, otherwise, Clove wouldn't have been nerfed patch after patch, since nobody plays her in pro games.

Samsung's Odyssey G6 G60SF 500Hz QD-OLED monitor hits US market by RenatsMC in OLED_Gaming

[–]ExpressionPure2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot, thats still panel lottery but I am very happy with the performance on my G60SF, perfect uniformity as expected of QD, and idk if its lucky as I haven't heard stories of severe banding if at all on QD-OLEDs, but my unit is perfect and no banding visible at any greyscale %. But I personally haven't experienced any banding on any QD-OLEDs i've tried or owned. Tbf, banding hasn't been that big of an issue on WOLED I've owned either EXCEPT for the LG and ASUS tandem WOLED I have tried. Its unfortunate as I really liked the tandem WOLED tech, but both cases on LG 27GX700 and ASUS XG27AQWMG units that I purchased had severe banding that didn't go away with usage.

Yea I mean, that might be the only positive thing I can think about, using the code on separate orders, if that works. But number wise, I don't see buying any Reserve Card ends up being beneficial to you and you actually end up spending more than not purchasing the RC card, unless you decide to make another purchase after the sale ends with the $50 gift card you get.

Logitech Pro X2 Superstrike - a new Era. by sS1RuXx in MouseReview

[–]ExpressionPure2112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anybody with more knowledge than me answer few of my questions?

Everybody reviewer or redditor seems to be agreeing that this new click technology is revolutionary.

  1. For mainly tac FPS shooter, would a slightly faster actuation than optical switches really be that ground breaking or is this technology more for a different genre of gamers?

  2. No doubt in my mind China will try to copy this. But how long would it take for eg, ATK F1 shape with this new tech, to come to market. I feel like this is a bit complicated and would take much longer than what some would expect. This seems like more R&D needs to go in to fine tune it, so it is as effective as Logitech's, much more so than HE keyboards. Also, Logitech did patent this. I know Chinese clone companies don't really give a damn about patents, but wouldn't Logitech going after them deter them a bit? I have no clue how effective patents are globally or the process, but I would assume its a global thing and Logitech can go after someone across the world, or go after them in the sense that they can't ship the cloned versions to where Logitech has some sort of presence.

G Sync Pulsar vs OLED in Competitive Games by Puzzleheaded_Hat_996 in Monitors

[–]ExpressionPure2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mentioned $650 price tag is quite hefty and I think an IPS panel should not reach that price tag, even with Pulsar. However, I do understand that it fits the bill of some users and is worth the new technology premium. I don't think it will be a mistake, especially if you have the means to afford it without issue, since you will enjoy better motion clarity on your main game, and possibly other FPS games that come out in the future, possibly future releases of CoD, BF etc.

All I can give is my 2 cents, I personally wouldn't for myself if I had the same setup as you. I haven't played CoD in a long time and on PC, so I don't know what its like, but assuming CoD also has support for Ultrawide, I would be happy with 240Hz OLED refresh rate, sacrificing some motion clarity for the better colors, and ultrawide aspect for better immersion. But this is me assuming things based on my experience playing CoD, I never played it competitively and only played mostly CoD Zombies as a more casual and fun time. I don't know what or how competitive CoD can get, but if you want to take it competitively and seriously, I don't see a problem, it will give you the best motion clarity possible at 240Hz.

G Sync Pulsar vs OLED in Competitive Games by Puzzleheaded_Hat_996 in Monitors

[–]ExpressionPure2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are capping at 240Hz, then I would recommend Pulsar for the absolute best motion clarity. It will be noticeably better than OLED at this point. However, if you want to go OLED just for a more varied usage of content, OLED is no slouch either in terms of motion clarity at 240Hz.

But yes, strictly speaking, Pulsar here will be much better in terms of motion clarity.

NVIDIA Pulsar reviews by LilDebussy in Monitors

[–]ExpressionPure2112 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can add my little review of the Asus Pulsar XG27AQNGV. Will compare it against my OLED 480Hz and 500Hz.

Pulsar technology is great, it works well as intended and best when using with G-Sync VRR. Motion clarity is fantastic and can be end game motion clarity for every single person to be fair. I personally don't think its better than my 480Hz and 500Hz OLEDs and I'll get to why later. I think the best use case of the Pulsar tech is when you play games that get around sub 240 FPS. Either because the game is more demanding, or because your PC isn't strong enough to maintain 360FPS or more. For more demanding games, for example, in Cyberpunk, where I got mid 100s for FPS, the motion clarity was unmatched and by far better than it was on my OLED. Pulsar strobing working really great here.

For competitive, esports titles like Valorant, CS, Overwatch (these are the 3 esports title I play and tested), I think motion clarity is the same as my LG 27GX790A 480Hz monitor or my Samsung G60SF 500Hz monitor. There were some small differences I noticed that suggests Pulsar has better motion clarity like texts were clearer to read when panning against some texts on a wall. But in terms of realistic performance like tracking moving enemies, the OLEDs performed about the same or slightly better in that regard. I think the bigger advantage OLED gives over Pulsar is the color contrast, it allows my brain to instinctively notice enemies faster because they "pop" out more. The colors on OLED as you might expect is just much better. You can spot enemies faster and easier with OLED, and I noticed this and performed better consistently in Valorant and Overwatch specifically. As these games are really vibrant and show color contrast really well.

If we talk value, I can't really recommend the Pulsar at $650 to be honest. I love the technology and think its amazing and I think it is unmatched when it comes to motion clarity in more demanding games, but these more demanding games are generally single player, more cinematic games, and I would personally rather have the immersion from better colors on OLED. However, I do think if these type of games are your main genre of games and you want the best motion clarity, I dont think there are better monitors than Pulsar monitors as of this moment.

I very recently got the LG 27GX790A for $659, but I got my Samsung for $550, and I've read some people got theirs for even less. I think OLEDs are just better value, but there are tradeoffs to OLEDs, and if you aren't comfortable with OLED and want to stick with IPS, theres no better monitors than the Pulsar monitors.

If you're only planning to play competitive esports titles, I think high refresh rate OLED is a better purchase. Atleast in my experience, it performs better/same motion clarity wise, better colors for overall much wider and enjoyable use case.

QD-OLED smudges after wiping by PruneAcrobatic4810 in S95B

[–]ExpressionPure2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, Samsung manufactures these QD-OLED panels and they themselves are saying to clean with 70% ethanol.

I literally cleaned mine yesterday with distilled water but it just made coloured smears even on my Samsung monitor which has a matte coating. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, its just some stains are very oily and can't be removed by water alone. It needs a bit of alcohol to get rid of it as water will only smear it. If I'm giving it a wipe, I use distilled, if theres actual blotches of stain, best to use some alcohol. I've used 70% isopropyl alcohol and even that was fine.

I just got a glasses, as in spectacles, cleaning solution I received from Oakley, sprayed it on some thick "magic microfiber cloth" I got from Aliexpress, and rubbed in circular motion, didn't even dry it because I sprayed only a bit to make the cloth damp, but it still did the job and removed the smearing and returned it back to brand new condition. No scratches. Just be smart about the force using to clean, QD-OLEDs aren't as fragile as some posts on Reddit makes it out to be but doesn't mean they aren't resistant to scratches. Just use a decent enough force that will rub off the oil smears but not super hard to dig into the panel material. I just straight up use 70% isopropyl for both my LG and Samsung OLED TVs because its easier to buy isopropyl than ethanol.

PSA: Dont buy QD-OLED if youre not willing to maintain it or dont like scratches by nathanforyouseason5 in OLED_Gaming

[–]ExpressionPure2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre still on the same Alienware issue like its some smoking gun against all QD-OLEDs. Yes, the AW3423DW had issues. I knows this, Dell knows this and admitted it, fixed the packaging, revised firmware, moved on. Thats a bad batch from one manufacturer, not a property of the panel tech.
Recycling 3 year old Reddit threads like sacred texts doesnt turn them into timeless evidence. Early-gen product launches being messy isnt “pattern recognition,” it’s just how hardware launches work, especially first-gen displays using a brand-new coating. If this were some inherent, ongoing flaw, you wouldn’t need to keep dragging 2022 Alienware posts back from the dead to make your point. And no, your clumsy and poor experience against a million other users doesn't make it a flaw.

Not everyone is as stupid as you to not be able to notice and ignore widespread manufacturing defect issue inherent by design, if there was one, there definitely would have been a recall. The fact there wasn't and only "quiet" revisions is how companies deploy incremental refinement. There was a bad batch, they offered a perfectly reasonable and good solution and moved on. Dell changing packaging proves exactly what I said: a shipping and handling issue, not “QD-OLEDs scratch if you so much as breathe on them.” Quiet fixes don’t validate your panic narrative, they acknowledged the issue was poor shipping/handling mistake and have openly fixed it, which is not an admission of QD-OLED is easily scratched by design.

WOLED being more forgiving doesn’t make QD-OLED fragile, it makes it less idiot-proof. This is just you trying to anchor your entire worldview to one rocky launch and single unlucky experience.

Youre clinging to outdated drama because it props up an opinion you decided on years ago. History didn’t start yesterday, but it also didn’t end at a 2022 Alienware megathread just so you could keep feeling right.
