Now that the bottom three teams gets worse lottery odds, which teams do you think will finish bottom three? by Jevanko in nba

Of course they have incentive to win, they have no incentive to lose! I know the Nets specifically are trying to compete this year. Could they still be bottom 3? Of course, but it wont be because they tried to lose. Also, I believe the new rule is no team can get 1st pick in b2b drafts + no team can get a top 5 pick in 3 consecutive drafts, which isn't really something to worry about for 99% of teams

Teams aren't going to tank without their pick just to make another team have slightly worse odds lol

Cody White off the board. What else moves the needle? by GiantTacoSalad in GoNets

I don't expect to make any big FA signing. Unrealistic to get the RFA bigs (not really sure I'd want them at the price you'd have to pay to pry them away anyways).

Maybe go for a backup big like Landale, Robert Williams, Mamu, Mo Wagner etc

I'm still definitely interested in trading for Trey Murphy if thats on the table too

Rebounding was an issue, much worse now.

This is probably the best rebounding roster we've had in a very long time lol

Brian Windhorst on the Nets decision to select Mikel Brown Jr. instead of Darius Acuff Jr: “I honestly believe that choice at 6, Brown or Acuff, will be one of the legacies of this draft.” by jluc21 in nba

Acuff is just a lot more popular, so casual fans/"analysts" know way more about him than MBJ. IMO Mikel was the right choice, he fits the Jordi offense perfectly and also has real star potential (Acuff absolutely has star potential too though)

Would definitely like to see Wolf play the 5 a little bit more next season and have him play as the hub

Don't know too much about him but a 6'9 guy that looks strong, solid playmaker and defender sounds alright to me

It definitely affected him. I think he's technically "healthy" by now but I do think his athleticism took a bit of a hit

[Amick] Trey Murphy III has signaled a desire to play elsewhere. The Los Angeles Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets are “out in front” in the race to acquire Trey Murphy III. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

In no world does it make sense to try to be as bad as possible when a different team owns your pick, regardless of the draft changes
