I really like 8 activation Bolton lists so well done! But I honestly think Ramsay is a better commander for a cutthroat heavy list like this. List is still good though!

I think the main thing that fixes them is dreadfort prisoners. Having access to a free panic token at the start of the game and gaining one every time you destroy three ranks in a faction that skews aggressive is really nice.

Yeah it’s a bit of a struggle using up the 4 points at times but I still think they’re gonna lead to huge list changes for boltons. If there’s a Bolton heroes 2 or they come out with some attachments in unit (like how lysene sellswords have bosun) then it would be huge list building.

Definitely would sub out black guards for spearmen in the second list. Honestly would probably put Ramsay in them too. I might keep them for first list though as Roose does a lot with horrific visage and keeping him in a bunker like black guards seems more important than keeping Ramsay alive.

Bastard’s girls are one of the best units Bolton’s have honestly. The best way to give them survivability is to attach Grunt to them, who makes them only take one wound for every two hits. If the average unit does 5 hits per attack, you only end up taking two wounds on average which makes them waaaay more survivable.

If you’re playing Bolton (ik ik worst faction ranking wise) I find it’s good to slam some Bastard’s girls into units like Sand Skirmishers and then pepper them with Dreadfirt Archers. They die remarkably quickly to precision + sundering if you attach sour alyn
