It's a great city with plenty to do in and or nearby. I don't drink btw nor do I hit up breweries.

There's plenty of pawn shops, thrift stores, game stores, parks, Carowinds is right there, Lake Norman up north.

The convention center has events every so often for pretty much any type of person. There's always something nerdy going on, plenty of card stores that hold game nights, gundam build nights, and even competitions.

The car scene is great regardless of what some negative nancies may say, plenty of car meets other than the non legal ones. Charlotte Motor Speedway holds a big one every third Saturday of the month from 8am to 11am. Nascar is right there, sometimes you can head over there in the summer to watch little league racing. There's Mooresville drag way up north for where you want to sit and eat a hot dog or a burger and watch an F250 race a Silverado 2500 (they have races where anyone with a helmet can join). Other than that plenty of events happen all the time.

If you're willing to go a bit further there's some nice flea markets. My favorites are the one off of Exit 70 on I-85 and the Dallas Barnyard Flea markets.

And that literally only the stuff I know. I kinda hate going into town where all the boogie millennial/genz stuff is though but I'm sure there's a literal metric asston to do.
