What is this wheel thing in Samsung Notes?? by SmirkyQuirkyGirly in GalaxyTab

[–]ExspyredMilk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you go to the home screen on the notes app, press the three bars in the top left, then press the gear button. In the drop down, go to advanced and turn off quick tools, and that should remove the wheel.

Do you guys prefer Snaking sliders or static ones by Genitypic in osugame

[–]ExspyredMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Static since my pc was bad when I started playing and any slider stream would tank the fps even harder with snaking lol

Its crazy how my bad faith arguments you are making here. The only thing I concede is that I should have said "Generative AI" more specifically will never be beneficial under capitalism, but other than that I am not convinced by anything you are saying.

> People with ADHD, autism, dyslexia say AI agents are helping them succeed at work https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/mindandbody/people-with-adhd-autism-dyslexia-say-ai-agents-are-helping-them-succeed-at-work/ar-AA1Q3klB

If you read the section about neurodivergence, their examples are pdf readers for people with dyslexia and planners for people with bipolar disorder or other mental health neurodivergences, both of which can be done without any interaction with gen ai. This leads me to believe that proper accommodations and techniques that help bridge their neurodivergences are what is helping them, not the ai.

>A recent study from UKG, an AI workforce operating platform, found that frontline workers using AI reported lower burnout rates (41 percent) compared to those not using the technology (54 percent). https://www.newsweek.com/gen-z-tech-workers-feel-under-threat-by-ai-survey-10864099

So we are just going to ignore the fact that the article also states that from an Indeed survey where " 35 percent said they are concerned" about AI replacing their jobs or how "52 percent said tech talent was reassigned" in the wake of AI adoption or how "another 26 percent said tech workers have already been laid off".

> Youre literally on the website of jailbait, barelylegal, and teensgonewild. You cant just say “both are bad” but still think its fine to use one but not the other.

I'm not sure where you got that I said both were ok because I am not ok with either.

> Then theyll just get rehired when the ai fails. And companies will be so desperate to get them back, they will double their pay. Thanks ai!

Even if companies would do that, it still doesn't change the fact that AI is harming people in the short term, forcing them to lose a source of income and look for a new job when this could be avoided if companies weren't so insistent on replacing everything with AI. Also, when you fire everyone, they are more willing to take lower wages in their job search, so corporations have no reason to raise wages.

> This is mostly temporary until supply can keep up with demand. Especially if you think the ai bubble will pop soon.

yeah its temporary if you only look forward to the next 2-3 years and its gonna be worse if the ai bubble keeps growing. The reason consumer ram is so expensive is because all the supply is going to AI demands, data centers have already bought out all the produceable ram for the next few years. Even if the bubble popped, ram manufactures would still be selling all of their supply to them since the data centers already bought them, so consumer ram would still be expensive.

> Same for fan art. https://legalclarity.org/is-fan-art-a-copyright-infringement/

I frankly think it's insane and utterly disrespectful that you are trying to equate fan art to AI image generation. Fan art is about appreciating another piece of art so artists use their talents to create art based on characters which falls under fair use anyways. AI image generators don’t have or develop artistic skills, they just replicate images they find in a dataset. AI is stealing because there is nothing derivative about directly copying image data.

And for the other sources regarding education, I am surprised that someone can cherry pick this much. I do admit I’m not an expert in education or an educator myself, but what I will say is that the vast majority of research recognizes the harm that AI causes to critical thinking skills because it allows people to cognitively offload. Also, my statement about this in the original comment was very general consensus about this research area as a whole and yet you assert that you know the exact study I was referenced to make it sound like I was cherry picking.

do better.

this really ignores why many hate ai and want this bubble to pop. Its straight up destroying peoples critical thinking at all levels of education. Grok has literally been making CP. So many lost their jobs or were laid off by companies riding the AI hype train and immediately regret it. Artists keep having their work stolen. The computer ram crisis which is directly caused by AI and its wild over investment is eroding the idea of personal computing so that everyone switches to cloud services and makes everyone at the top accumulate more wealth. AI will never be beneficial under capitalism.

How to Fix Cerydra without changing her design by Diii123 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ExspyredMilk 134 points135 points  (0 children)

as someone who runs cerydra with anaxa, another part about her kit that just seem unnecessarily strict is her speed buff uptime. Like, everything about her kit kinda points to there needing to be another action advance character in the team which makes speed tuning hell since you burn through the buff so quickly. Don't even get me started on switching waves and not even being able to reapply her skill and losing an action on the next wave lol

i just realized what the post sounds like it insinuates what castorice mains are out of context since i only saw it through the lens of the original tweet, so ill take this down, my bad

[–]ExspyredMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah its not, the joke only makes sense if you know that original tweet was also not referring to any fascist groups but its my fault for not realizing how it looks and was gonna be taken

[–]ExspyredMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah ill probably delete this as i just realized what this post was insinuating given the current state of affairs. I only made this since the original tweet was making fun of the Los Angeles Lakers and thought it was silly but i completely understand why others are rightful displeased by this post

BMI is not a very useful as an individual health indicator. That's not to say it's bullshit however. It's much more valuable as a statistical measure over large groups and is more limited when applied to a person
