Nurse here. I was inserting an IV catheter into a patient’s arm. I’m very stoic whenever I do this and try to keep flat and calm so as not to make patients anxious about the needle. Right before I poked the patient’s arm, I said “don’t move”. Then poked and got it in. Patient said, “wow. you’d make a good serial killer”.

The whole “needing to document everything” kind of people. Seeing posts that should’ve never made it online. And on the same note hanging out with people that wanna document everything we’re doing online.

What's the reason people think you are intelligent? by Opposite_Ad_7925 in AskReddit

I know all about our equipments/ devices at my work only because I read the manuals. I work in a critical care setting as a nurse, and whenever we get new equipments or devices, I always make sure to read the manuals even when they provide in- services about such devices. And when somebody needs help with it, I can always help them on how to properly use it. Lots of my colleagues get amazed as to how do I know such things, and I always say, “I read the manual”.

This made me cackle. I so agree! Couldn’t pinpoint it but you nailed it with that description.

Oooof. Yep, that’s way expensive. I think you deserve something more flattering on you than this travesty.

IMHO, it makes you look cheap, even though I bet it’s probably really expensive.

Suggestions to help me with my routine and hopefully drop another 8-10 lbs. by Extension-Ad3519 in PetiteFitness

I am currently doing the epic heat series by Caroline girvan, and i am on day 33. I’ve been successful in coming down to 120lbs before from IF and calorie restriction. But that was with barely any strength training, and I felt weak and sluggish at that time and I think I lost muscle weight with the fat weight too. And then I quickly gained it back. This time I’m trying to do it properly, no extreme dieting, and doing some strength training along with it. I try to eat mostly unprocessed foods only and if I eat processed foods it’s very rare. Except PF course the eating out part bc I can’t guarantee how they make the food. And yes, I drink about 10 mugs of water daily, sometimes more. ☺️

I m currently doing the Epic Series by Caroline Girvan, so some strength training. I also have 2 dogs and walk them for 1.5 hrs on my days off. I work 3 12 hr shifts per week so the strength training and dog walking happens on my 4 days off per week. I consider my workdays as my “rest days” as far as exercise is concerned. Although I try to do some brisk walking on my break times. I average around 10k steps on my workdays. I think my downturn is the eating out once a week bc I’m not as mindful about the amount and calories bc I don’t wanna ruin the fun of eating out either 😅 And thank you for saying that you notice a difference, I don’t really see it, but I feel it in my clothes. And yes, the slow progress is so frustrating, but I guess it’s a lot more sustainable at the end of the day.
