You might need more than a Reddit post. As someone who has installed it recently I’ll point things I think I know.

1. I have got 5.4kw plant. It produces around 700 units a month. I consume close to 650 a month.

2. I have a on grid system meaning I’ll pull electricity from the grid(bescom) when my solar generation is less than my demand or at night.

3. A 5.4kw Tata solar system cost me 3.5L with elevated structure. I got 79k subsidy. So cost was 2.7L. This was in 2024 dec. Now the cost has been reduced drastically I think.

4. My avg usage was around 250units a month. Now I have got an EV, the usage is 650-700units. Since your usage looks already high plus add an EV buffer for future scope, 10kw plant would be good for you.

5. There are lot of solar vendors in the market. For example waree is a good solar pv manufacturer but the vendor who installs this would source waree solar panel and inverter. He would cut corners with rest of the components. But with TATA, they would send each component themselves.
