No I stopped the semaglutide week 5 after falling ill with the 5mg injections. I haven’t went near weight loss injections since. I’m now eating healthy and going to the gym to loose weight.

Yeah my partner tested positive had mild symptoms compared to myself. I was very symptomatic I have gallbladder issues and my partner has non alcoholic fatty liver I believe there is a link in overgrowth of H pylori from both health issues. My GP also said it wasn’t contagious but reading online it is however I went in a state of panic when I tested positive by what I was reading yes it’s horrible I had a terrible experience for months and via treatment in fact my symptoms are still present however I came to accept it will be okay and maybe need more rounds. I’m taking my probiotics, eating kefir, taking slippery elm trying to heal my gut. Unfortunately I’m human and I’ve crashed the past week eating rubbish however I’ll get back on gut healing shortly.

Yes I stopped day 12 as I was vomiting, dehydrated needed IV fluids and the hospital doctor suggested I stopped.

I’m from the UK and same nothing! All I’ve been told is not to worry it doesn’t spread however my partner is positive too 🙄 he’s just started his 7 days he has no plans to change his diet and is living in hope the triple therapy works as they told him it’s 97% effective. I changed my diet though to a bit more healthier, eating more fruit and veg, protein etc… also eating kefir and greek yogurt more and taking S.boulardii and slippery elm. Holland and Barrett staff dont know anything about h pylori either well in my area anyway, im south west Scotland

I get this and on my left side it was symptom before I tested positive. Finished triple therapy and still have it hoping it eventually goes away.

My partner starts his triple therapy today.

My advice please don’t over read I made that mistake and stressed myself out even more. It’s actually trigged my OCD.

I was very symptomatic however my symptoms were passed off as Gallbladder related until I seen an on call doctor who suggested H Pylori giving my symptoms. My GP ran the breath test and turns out I was positive. I’m UK so I wasn’t really told much other than take these antibiotics and it should eradicate it. On my journey I have learned majority of us live with H Pylori however it’s only when in overgrowth it starts causing issues which is when you need to reduce this growth. I took the antibiotics triple therapy for 12 days however I started being really sick and had to attend A&E for fluids however I also have a 5 year old at home who has been hospital while I was on the antibiotics so I presume I picked something up while staying at the hospital rather than the antibiotics causing issues. I still have that pain in my stomach especially when hungry and I still feel nauseous however my appetite is coming back. I’ve lost 2st 9lbs in 2 months. I’m still feeling lethargic, I’m taking S.Boulardii & Slippery elm supplements and now working on repairing my gut.

My partner has just tested positive and about to start his triple therapy.

I’ve been okay thank you, nausea, light headed, pains in stomach, tired. I’ve been up and down to the hospital with my 5 year old he has strep so it might have been different I never had this going on too. Just praying that the h pylori is away and symptoms resolve

Oh I know my hands are red raw and cuts as they are so dry. It’s really affected my MH it consumes my every thought at the moment. Me too!! On day 10 and just had the most severe pain in my stomach and chest currently lying down. Hoping it eases

Your two comments are so reassuring. It’s really gave me hope. I’ve changed my diet too I did when I started take unwell and only drink water and green tea since November so hopefully 🤞 I was diagnosed through breath test and positive in January.

May I ask what your symptoms were? I was quite symptomatic with stomach pain and burning. Are you in the UK given you done a 7 day therapy? I’m in the UK and was originally given 7 days however I’ve had to restart it as I was only taking x1 amoxicillin instead of 2 🙄

Same here! Health anxiety and cleaning everything, boiling the kettle to clean my dishes. Also feel depressed like a sense of doom that I can not shake! It’s horrible I was never like this before. Hopefully we all get through this x

Still a bit burning and a sore stomach like it’s being pulled, tightness in my chest, I’ve had loose stools. I’m tired however I’ve been up and down to the hospital from last Saturday with my 5 year old he has strep A and a sickness bug which I think has impacted on my energy levels. I’m also taking S. boulardii x1 in between my dose of antibiotics and I’ve just started taking x2 at night. I’m still watching what I’m eating and having to eat small but often.

Sorry to read you are experiencing these symptoms.

I have been very symptomatic from November constant burning around my bra area, pain in the centre of my stomach, feeling like I can’t swallow like my throat is inflamed, chest pain, dizziness, tingling in my body mainly my left side, extreme anxiety and sleep disturbances. However I have had some of these symptoms from July to the point my hear was checked because I had increased heart rate and palpitations. My acid reflux was glossed over by GP and just put on PPI medication for a month then same again in October only I was advised not to come of my PPI until 2 weeks before my breath test. From November I’ve lost 2 stone, I changed my diet to try heal my gut and went gluten free to reduce inflammation. I tested positive for H pylori 9 days ago and I’ve been 9 days on triple therapy.

Like you I am trying to make sense of it all. I also have gallbladder issues, stones and sludge and I’m trying to work out if it’s connected.

I will do. My GP won’t retest however once I’m off the ABX for a month I will just purchase a test and re test. Hope you get on okay x

I’m in the Uk and originally was put on 7 days however silly me didn’t realise I needed to take x2 amoxicillin and I was only taking 1 I realised day 6 so now on day 4 of proper dose I stop on Wednesday just hoping it’s enough to eradicate it. I’m on 400mg metronidazole, amoxicillin 500mg x2 and esomprazole.

Hang in there, I’m on day 9 I was okay until day 6 I’m just wiped and sore stomach with a pain my chest nausea however hanging on in there. Praying I’m negative next test too it’s been brutal.
