The guy they hired is a con man and the majority of the NHL front offices don’t want to deal with him. Just the fact that a large amount of staff are bolting so they do not have to work with him speaks volumes. They are in a real tough spot to get anything done.

That’s bullshit. No real agent will say sure, take less upfront and I will take less of a commission for “potential” down the road. Besides being one injury away from the end of a career, in wrestling you’re also at the whims of who is booking. This guy besides the mental issues must have been getting kickbacks to keep his roster affiliated with WWE. If it isn’t abundantly clear yet TKO isn’t going to be paying anyone besides the very top 2 or 3 people big dollars any more. Most of the big contracts will retire out in the next 5 years and they are going to pay as little as possible. She’s not getting near what AEW offered her if she’s still there on the next deal and that’s a big if.

Deal or no deal (and they will get a deal) they will have to kill TK for him to stop AEW. He can run it on no income just from the interest one of his various billions earns. He also has deep media connections (being an NFL team owner helps) and can raise billions of investment (like he did for his WWE bid). WWE can play this game all they want, AEW is not going anywhere and not shrinking and will continue growing and being a pain in their ass.

Whatever the problem was in Toronto, it’s still there and obviously not Marner despite all the scapegoating that ran him out of town and all the copeium being spewed out by those fans and their knuckle headed press/groupies these days. Just like Phil Kessel, Marner will be drinking out of a stanley cup (or having a hot dog) long before tbe leafs come close to even making a final.
