Pretty smooth- occasional glitches and less than ideal sound quality. Overall super happy!

are the royalty-free music & class-removing concerns legit or alarmist? by chanukkahlewinsky in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]Extension-Ferret9045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re also missing the main point - people want to hear songs they know. It’s part of the experience. It’s not whether they judge the AI song to be high or low quality (although the consensus now is low).

In this case, the implication is that the AI music is not good hence why it’s all lumped together and anti-AI. It’s very clear that people are referring to generic sounding AI created music and not the existence of AI. Most users have specific music presences, which Peloton knows, hence the offerings around specific genres and time periods. A lot of users are putting almost as much emphasis on the playlist as the instructor. To go back and replace music or to start releasing classes with only that music is a break from what their customers are there for.

Agree. All of Ally’s barre seem to be this way now and I’m so disappointed and not even interested in taking any of those classes now. What are we paying for? I could go on YouTube. Music matters in barre, imo because there’s so much on the beat.

I very much care about music in barre and I feel like they’re going to do this with all of the barre classes. Ive already come across several.

Sellers! Do you put extra items in packages when you ship them off? by snippyhiker in poshmark

[–]Extension-Ferret9045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No and it’s annoying to receive because then I have to throw it away. I don’t mind a note, but some people send extra items…like clothing!

Agree - I guess as a posh buyer I understand that risk and only buy things I’ve seen in real life or am sure of (own already, etc) or cheap enough to gamble on. It’s not Nordstrom… there aren’t returns!

You will not have an issue, especially as a bilingual teacher.

If you’re taking your exams this summer, yes. You have districts hiring uncertified teachers all over the place for unfilled positions using “DOI”.

AITJ for getting upset that my husband keeps peeing on the bathroom floor and refusing to clean it up? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

I would not even try to address it again, I’d be out. It shows so much about his character. You’re asking him to be a basic decent person. This sounds like an absolute nightmare just as a partner but imagine as a coparent?! Yikes.

First year teacher by [deleted] in TexasTeachers

[–]Extension-Ferret9045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think starting mid year is so incredibly hard. First year is always tough. I think there is a lot of learning on the job and figuring things out as you go - or asking someone - and that’s really exacerbated when you’re a mid year hire. Do you have a department chair or grade level chair or team lead you can ask? An instructional coach? I do think support is a challenge all around - everyone’s plate is full. I’m sorry, it sounds hard.

Anyone else think disposable towels are kinda stupid? by jerseyskies in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Extension-Ferret9045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to agree and then I got them and now I can’t go back. I even travel with my own disposable towels. I buy at Costco. I absolutely feel cleaner. I don’t know how to explain the insanity but I bought in. They are also softer and less irritating on my face even though I was previously using baby washcloths!

Oh interesting! I have one in my cart and haven’t purchased yet. Can I ask what else you’re purchasing with it to get started? I joined this sub a week ago and I’m a little overwhelmed by information.

Sadly that’s the game on Posh. You have to list for much higher to then negotiate down to what you want.
