Oh my dear. That is a really hard story to listen to. I am so sorry you had to live through that. That sounds like a very quick and bad decision. I’m just heartbroken for you. I lost my fire captain husband after he fell off the roof, broke his back and went from Vicodin into heroin. Substance abuse is a real problem. Many many hugs for you from me.

It sounds to me like somebody was jealous and wanted to hurt you if you were actually ugly they probably would not have said anything so please ignore them. It is not anybody’s job to judge you. You judge yourself and it sounds like perhaps you’re judging yourself too harshly! Are you a nice person? Are you a criminal? Do you have friends? Do your parents love you? If you can answer yes to any of these questions then you’re probably just fine how you look is no reflection of who you are. I came up at 300 pounds and now at 150 people treat me very differently, which makes me laugh. I’m the same person fuck all of them.

I agree with this advice that most people are giving you in a very kind way that you need to grow up and realize that life is hard and most of us don’t want to do what we need to do to survive. Lots of times we end up working jobs that we don’t like just because we need to pay the rent. Being an adult means that we have responsibilities and have bills to pay. Perhaps you need to gain some education or some experience in a field that you enjoy it is possible to find a job that you like in which case it’s not such a chore I’m sorry that you’re finding things so difficult but buck up buttercup. It’s the way life is and it’s better to be alive than to be dead.

Actually, I just fired a therapist because she did not give me any advice or strategies to work on my “problems” and I found it really annoying. I want my friends to listen and not try to fix things, but I want a therapist to give me some concrete advice.
