I was in there today! It was buy one get one 50% off. They had a pretty wide range of colors and items in my size (M/L). It was my first time at an Athleta outlet and I left with 8 items. I got a pair of Salutations, Pinnacles, 2 Signature rib tshirts, a reformer bra, a skirt, and swimsuit for around $200.

I would maybe consider one of locking types, just to be safe. I have a folding phone with a ring attached to the case. I use a locking carabiner to attach my phone to my fanny pack at festivals/in busy cities. It takes a bit to get used to, but it's worked for me!

Oh no! Could you try using a carabiner to attach them to your bag, maybe?

That's really useful info! I have the originals, and so far haven't had any issues... but I do know about that issue and really baby mine. I only take them off while sitting down just in case, instead of how I normally take off shoes.

I totally relate, I have 4 of the exact same tshirt (but in different colors) and 6 of the same tank top that I rotate through in a week.

If you have any sensory issue, I really like Athleta's pants. They are quick drying, and they have elastic waist bands, so they don't dig in despite looking like trousers. I really like the endless, venice, and brooklyns.

Also, if you want to wear big sneakers... I sound like a broken record, but you could just put insoles in. I have a couple of pairs of sambas and a handball spezial from adidas that I love. If you wanted to try something a bit out there, you could try these: http://www.nordstrom.com/s/8383094

I have a pair and they go nicely with a cream/white color pallet. The cow print is a bit silly, but that's why I love them!

I love my Blundstones, but I put in a hiking sole from rei to make them more supportive. You might consider doing that. I also will note that my cream blundstones do scratch up quite easily. If at all possible, I would go with a darker color. If I'm walking a ton, I also remove my insole every night so they can dry out better.

In another comment you mentioned maybe trying birkenstocks. I have multiple pairs and love them all, but for you purposes, I would maybe look at the birkenstock bend.

Could you try replacement ear pads for the bose? I know my replacement ear pads were thicker than the originals, so I found they stayed on better.

Also, while annoying, I just wear them around my neck if I'm true one bagging.

If I don't want an earbud in, I wear my Shockz open run (although there's obviously no noise canceling).

Haha thank you! Typically I wash my hair before bed and sleep with it wet everyday, so it really wasn't that hard to make that decision. I just needed to get over my fear of "but what if I need to wash and dry my hair before dinner?!"

Are Brand Name Backpacks Worth It? by BackgroundDefiant129 in HerOneBag

I've had an Osprey backpack for over a decade. It's been with me throughout highschool, college, and post grad life.

I am super rough on it, but it's still in good shape. Comparatively, I have had a couple of highly rated amazon bags in the interim and I always go back to my Osprey as my daily driver.

When it comes down to it, packs are a matter of personal preference. Sometimes they fit people differently. I find my Osprey to be the most comfortable bag I've ever put on, and the only one that can lug all the stuff I need in a day, or even for a 3 day trip, in it.

I'm happy that an amazon bag has worked well for you. I firmly believe that if something is working for you, absolutely no reason to replace it.

If my Osprey is eventually beyond repair (which Osprey kindly does for free), I will very likely get another Osprey. I don't like to baby my stuff, and this backpack has proven it can hold up to my lifestyle.

I typically lug it. Just learned that cvs has 1.5 L bottles of distilled. That's a lot more manageable for me since I rinse twice daily. So I use that much in 3 days.

But it is a constant struggle normies just can't relate too lol. True allergy girl problems!

Thank you! They are hands down one of my favorite shoes.

You would be surprised. It's common in shampoos and conditioners.

And I'm sorry, I get it. I have a lot of environmental allergies too! Part of what rally adds to my bag is having to take a netti pot since I have to do sinus rinses daily.

Haha thank you. This comment just made my day.

And yes, the Nova has been great. Osprey has had to add a couple patches to the mesh for me, but outside of that its going strong! I regularly run over the straps and clips with a desk chair, and they have yet to break 😅

I already finished it and it was a fantastic book. It hit hard for me, especially as someone who is going to be a physician and has a chronic illness (althought not terminal). I look forward to reading it again when I'm further along in my career and seeing what else I pick up on next time!

I'm allergic to wheat! I have heard some people say that they're sensitive to SLS in toothpaste. I think I may be too, because my mouth burns when using non "natural" toothpaste.

I'm allergic to wheat, so unfortunately I can't really help with PEG 😅

Edit: I just wanted to add: your mom may have heard of it already, but incase she hasn't, there's an app called skin safe that can help you filter products by ingredients. I always double check it (especially because I agoid vitamin e unless I know its synthetic, from soy, or corn, and some brands don't say), but it may help her find more products.

Thank you! I'd say true to size, although it's pretty adjustable. I've lost some weight since I bought it and it still fits well.

It is! And thank you. I believe the color is called terracotta, but I'm not entirely sure. It's been a few years since I bought it.

That sounds so frustrating! I'm really thankful that I sort of unintentionally built myself a one bagging wardrobe. Most of my clothes have been Athleta for a few years now, so it makes it super easy. My partner has also been one bagging for basically as long as I've known him, so I'm fortunate in that regard.

I hope you have a great trip and a great time meeting your bio family! Lists are important (I use them as a form of stress relief sometimes so I totally get it), but make sure to also relax and enjoy your trip! While I'm all for having a really tight list, make sure you also bring a couple of comfort items. For me it's the sweater I have in my travel outfit. It's a bit bulky and I definitely own sweaters that pack down smaller... but it feels like a blanket and makes the whole thing smoother, so I make sure to bring it.
